Been reading....with our lifestyle (9 kids) ......drivable ... (We are Canadians)
We rented Orangelake from an owner here and just got home last week. We loved it! .....?
I am assuming your home is in Ontario .What a Canadian considers warm enough to vacation
and what is considered " Off Season " - may help you vacation economically .
Example - Myrtle Beach - low season is Jan , Feb March . - deals galore
HIgh Season is summer / 4th of July week .- way too hot .
Virginia Beach - same
Massanutten - McGaneyville Virginia - has lock off 4 bedrooms
you may want to go on eBay - and enter 4 bedroom timeshares / then click on the "sold"function
To research unit sizes .
Vacation Village Parkway - Kissamee has large units that work as lock offs / so 2 Kitchens
MF with tax is just over $ 1000.
( FYI - there is a week 52 in TUG bargains / free being given away by a Canadian - gets a huge amount of TPU' s in RCI.) PS - these will show up again / so don’t panic & think you have to buy it .
...... If you can travel during lower seasons, you will likely be able to find premium Orlando resorts for less than weeks owners pay for MF's.
HI tschwa2,
SInce you do some rentals - what for you is lower season in Orlando - that could help the OP who is
a Canadian (with nice weather at home / from mid May to mid Oct) could use .
I am thinking mid March to before Memorial Day / end of May . Also November - mid December
( skip Sept /Oct - nice weather in Canada - hurricane possibilities in Florida . )
THanks
.....I know a lady from Canada that has a 3 bedroom @ river island the week of spring break she wants to sell and I'm sure you would save money owning vs renting this week, but if you were able to travel off peak you would save money renting.
Again knowledge is power!
Good example - of a buy vs rent comparison / varies by week needed .
