We've bought and sold a few times--the "standard" is buyers pay annual fees on points they're getting in current year, usually not on banked points, and never in a year that the contract is stripped. The seller's pricing is usually adjusted slightly for banked/stripped contracts, but not to the actual "value" of the points, such as $100/PP with current points coming, $105 with banked points, $95 stripped. But, it's all negotiable. As annual dues are paid in Jan, any reimbursement of prior or credit for payment of the next year's dues is done at settlement. Also, (per large resale agent) contracts listed in Aug/Sept onwards many times have no reimbursement for dues (paid in Jan) for current points.I'm assuming that's 2027 but fees will be due next year unless prepaid. Were they prepaid or did the seller compensate you directly? Even then you'll still pay dues in 2027 for points not received during the 2026 UY for the number of months prior to the UY starting since dues are paid by calendar year not UY.
