Vistana Transfer dept phone number (and timeframe)

BTW, is it weird that Sheraton does this? What if too many people wait till the last day of year to deposit, where can Sheraton find so many weeks to deposit to II?
They do bulk deposits into II throughout the year based on their estimated usage forecasts. Supposedly they do a pretty good job.

Mailed 3 transfer of Sheraton Broadway on 7/5, check in the amount of $75 for transfers came out of checking on 7/23. The weeks are out of my account as of yesterday. That is fast. Really about four weeks. This is very recent, so you can pretty much expect the same.
Marriott must have hired a second person in the transfer department

If you are depositing near the end of the year, it means your week was never reserved and likely a week in your season was already deposited into II. In fact, Vistana deposits a lot of weeks into II just because they don't get reserved. When you call Vistana to make the deposit, they aren't actually depositing something at that time. They just need to make sure they have more actual deposits than owners who actually deposited. It really isn't an issue.

Making some sense but I don’t understand why Vistana wants to obligate themselves for that as you said “make sure they have more deposits than…” I don’t mind they do that just weird they do that.

Just to share that the request to add this week to II personal account was rejected by Vistana because it’s still in “rescission period”. So apparently there is a period that you need to wait until this “rescission period” is past and I was told it ends today. So I will have to call II again to add.

In short, perhaps wait a couple of weeks after you receive the “welcome letter” to call II to add so you don’t need to call again.

I never heard of this in regard to Vistana resales and it has only occurred with my one voluntary resale, not mandatory.
Vistana did not tell me this, I heard it from TUG II Mark.

"Recision," often spelled rescission, refers to the act of canceling or annulling a contract or agreement. It essentially puts the parties back in their pre-contractual positions, voiding the agreement as if it never existed. This can happen by mutual agreement or unilaterally by one party due to a breach by the other.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Cancellation of a contract:
Rescission is the legal process of terminating a contract, effectively making it null and void.

    • Returning to pre-contractual state:
When a contract is rescinded, both parties are generally expected to return any benefits they received under the agreement, restoring them to their original positions before the contract was formed.
    • Mutual or unilateral:
Rescission can occur through mutual agreement between the parties involved or unilaterally by one party if the other party has breached the contract in a significant way (e.g., a material breach).
    • Reasons for rescission:
Rescission can be sought for various reasons, including fraud, mistake, misrepresentation, undue influence, or duress.
    • Legal process:
In some cases, courts may order rescission as a remedy for a breach of contract or to address situations where a contract was formed under unfair or illegal circumstances.
