That is a standard 2BR and not a 2BR lock off.
Does it makes sense then that it would be in Lakes or Cascades? I did see another OP say they preferred Lakes or Cascades and had issues since they reserved under VIO.

Lakes and Cascades have both 2BR and 2BR L/O.Does it makes sense then that it would be in Lakes or Cascades? I did see another OP say they preferred Lakes or Cascades and had issues since they reserved under VIO.
D means it came from an Abound point deposit. There could also be an H for a Marriott week based deposit. Four digits means an owner deposit. For purposes of identifying the unit type, just ignore the first character of codes with five digits. What is the difference in the code on My Interval History confirmation of DTOVI but the great list put together by Dioxide doesn't have the 'D' in front of TOVI? Anyone know?
It is certainly okay to be confused because the list in the first post is really just a starting point with a lot of errors. Also, so you mean DTOBT? There is no TOTB on the list for SVR.Just saw this and am now very confused. Interval shows VIT with unit type DTOTB which maps on the chart from this post to Spa, Springs and Palms. But the thread below says VIT is Lakes and Cascades ....

Vistana [SVR II codes]
Hi can some one tell me what codes VIO or VIT mean for Sheraton Vistana on Intervals web site? I'm assuming it's different sections. thankstugbbs.com
Thanks for letting us know. It does seem that there is a lot of confusion around these codes. We may never get a full answer.I was able to get hold of a nice rep at the resort and since i am only 9 days out they let me know I am staying in Fountains 1. That does not jive with either the VIT code posting (Lakes or Cascades) above or the chart at the beginning of this post (DTOBT is Spa, Springs, or Palms.
LOL. Sorry about switching those last 2 letters - it is DTOBT.
It could be, but Lakes and Cascades are also the only buildings over 3 stories and with elevators. I believe they were the last to be built. Another interesting fact is that in RCI, Fountains is listed as a separate resort. So it is just about anyone's guess as to what these codes all mean.@dioxide45 I will be making my first trip to Vistana Resort here soon - but from looking at the map and watching one of your ground walking videos it seems as if this is 2 resorts with different entrances. You may have access to it all, but they appear separate.
Logic does not often apply, but that would seem a logical split between VIT and VIO.

Thanks for the update. How was the WiFi in your unit?VIT did indeed get me into Fountains 1. They honored my room request on the second floor near the pool.
The building does not look like much from the outside but was very nice inside. It appears to be a recent refresh with a frying pan that still had the sticker on it. The checkin was smooth and everyone who works here is great. I can see why this resort continues to get good reviews. I really like the Fountains pool area and the back stairs off the lanai is a nice feature.

Hi, we were in lakes for three weeks …jan6-27/2024. WiFi was great. Thanks for the update. How was the WiFi in your unit?
Where did you stay? We have done better with getting credit since we adjusted our strategy. After making an II booking (Exchange, AC, Getaway) we wait a few days. Then I lookup the reservation on Marriott.com or in the Bonvoy App. On Marriott.com once you lookup the reservation in My Trips you can edit it and modify the Guest Info and enter your Bonvoy number. On the app, there is a button to touch and it adds it to your trips and puts your Bonvoy number in.Well, i thought it was pretty cool that i could tie my Interval reservation to my Bonvoy acccount. But it ended up being counterproductive.
Since the reservation was made outside of Marriott.com, i now get no points for incidentals i spent while on the property - per Bonvoy rules. I called them and they are quite firm about that. I believe that the reservation being made it obvious .
In the past, i just give them my bonvoy number at checkin and i have gotten points for incidentals. But not when I tied the reservation .....
Did you tie your Bonvoy number to the reservation before checkin? It was this stay at SVR - we ate onsite a few times. I created a missing stay request and they made it very clear that i was not going to get any Bonvoy points for the incidentals due to the origin of the reservation.
Did you tie your Bonvoy number to the reservation before checkin?
Sadly if you don't automatically get credit, it is difficult if not impossible to get the stay credited using a missing stay request. They dream up every reason possible as to why the stay doesn't qualify.
You should at least get credit for incidentals. I have not had issues with that. It only seems to be the Elite Night Credit they don't want to credit. Are they refusing to credit incidental spending? Was all your spending at the Marketplace?I did NOT tie my Bonvoy number to the reservation at checkin, because I assumed that tying the reservation to my account before checkin would take care of that. My account number was missing from the folio but I did not notice until after checkout. I contacted the resort and they said they cannot add it after checkout - and to take it up with bonvoy. Which i did, and was told of the policy, and the case was closed.
I certainly understand making sure no booking fees get bonvoy credit. But i don't understand why they would say that expenses would not be eligible for a bonvoy member. It is not good business. I will be less likely to spend money onsite now.
I have another interval reservation months away and am NOT going to tie that one to my account. I will give them the number at checkin as usual. Then i will see how the indicentals get treated.
Are they refusing to credit incidental spending? Was all your spending at the Marketplace?
escalate to customer.advocacy@mvw.comThat is exactly what they are doing. Our ate multiple meals and got drinks at the Tiki Hut, as they kindly put us overlooking the main pool in Fountains I. It was a great trip.
Bonvoy simply refuses to give any credit for incidentals due to the external reservation source.
I posted my experience because they used the interval reservation tied to my bonvoy account to reject any credits. The case manager became agitated when i questioned the policy, and she then said if they opened an investigation for how I got credit in the past that they may REMOVE some of my past credits. So i let it go.
Certainly my worst experience ever with Bonvoy.
