Did anyone ever rent through vacation timeshare rentals? I think we go through them to pay. I think we only give a deposit and then final payment a month before.

If it's vacationtimesharerentals.com, I just rented out my week there. They have no involvement in the transaction. The renter sent me a check for the week and I then faxed a letter to the resort with the name of the incoming guests. The resort faxed back acknowledgement and I gave that to my renter as confirmation for them to present at check in.

I've always wondered about that rental site. It is any good for renting your weeks? How does it compare to Redweek and Myresortnetwork?

It notice that it is at the top of the Google search list for "timeshare." But, I really don't like their site for looking for rentals. It's difficult to navigate.

Anyone have any luck on this site?

I just rented my Kingsgate week and have had a lot of interest in my Mayan Palace weeks. A few months back they advertised free listings and then all of a sudden changed to a fee of (I think) $19.95. Now they are back to being free again. I like it because they include pictures for you. Personally, I like the way it navigates. :)

I love this site.

The listings are free for a year. It comes up on various search engines when you do a search on timeshare rentals. I have several timeshare weeks for sale on that site. I want to get rid of some of these ten weeks. :p

With redweek increases and myresortnetwork not getting many responses for my ads, maybe this is the new redweek. You don't have to pay a membership to search, plus the listings are free for a limited time. You can't beat free.

Crownshare.com has a great rate for listing as many weeks for sale or rent as you want, but there is not much activity, since the site doesn't show up on any search, with any search engine. I wrote the guy an email, telling him that he needs to make sure his site shows on the first two pages on google aol or yahoo. It costs money for that, but he obviously isn't willing to pay anything to get his name out there. What a shame, to set up a rental/purchase site for a great price, then to choose not to make it easy to find. Maybe he doesn't understand search engines.

sales rentals

Good info on vacation timeshare rentals. Thank You all ! I'll check it out.
since I didn't have any luck at all with a different company that I stupidly gave money upfront to list.

Another good thing about the site...

You can put as much information as you want in the listing. www.myresortnetwork.com gives you such a limited space, plus they will not allow you to link to a website so a possible buyer/ renter can't even get more information.

I just rented out a third Hawaii week on redweek.com

The lady paid the escrow company, so now we have had three successes in as many months. Hmmmm.

I guess they do have the traffic on redweek. I just hope that they will reduce their prices for our week that is for sale before our ad expires. Or, maybe our ad will work on www.vacationtimesharerentals.com That ad was free, so we have our fingers crossed.
