The TUG Facebook group seems to becoming very popular!
Just today alone around 70 people requested to became members. That is the most I've seen in 1 day since I became a Moderator of the group. It sure keeps Brian, Cheryl, Alan and myself pretty busy, but I really enjoy being part of it. The main page says there are well over 27,000 members plus another over 5,000 visitors. Many people find the page when searching FB for answers on their timeshare. The TUG website is on the FB page but it seems many people do not know about it. I always refer folks to the website for more reading (Help & Advice section) or to the Resort Systems section for questions and answers on their particular timeshare company.
The TUG FB page has saved many people from buying retail and told them how to rescind when they find the page in time.

yes, im betting it was the news story that ran today as it specifically mentioned TUG was a facebook group vs a website! however I dont care how owners find TUG to get help as long as they do!

it is a shame we had to enable the approval feature for the group due to all the spam/bots/etc that would post videos and fake links etc, but that sure has taken alot less work out of the hands of the admins/moderators! thank you for all those who help manage that!

is my goal to have TUG as the most popular timeshare related facebook group on the internet as well so owners have an even better chance of getting free help and advice for their timeshare!

It's very annoying that news or culture kinda thinks websites don't exist anymore and everything is on Facebook or Reddit or something. I'm a much bigger fan of the old Internet where there's not one site "owning" everything, especially with how much I dislike Facebook.

…especially with how much I dislike Facebook.
Facebook is a love/hate relationship with me. What annoys me the most is that Facebook turns a blind eye to obvious scams. So many “sponsored” ads are scams. I report them but a vast majority I get a reply that they didn’t remove the ad because it didn’t go against their standards. Facebook is kind enough though to “hide” the ad from the reporting party so you don’t have to see the scam again. One example is an obvious scam with Disney Gift cards. I am starting to think that Facebook protects their sponsored ads due to the revenue they earn at the expense of their Facebook users. Below is the TUG link.

There is no indication that Facebook EVER cared about their users except as people to exploit to make money. Any look at their history makes that pretty clear IMO.

it is certainly a frustrating platform that seems to allow people to control a narrative vs share the truth in some cases, but all in all I wont argue against MORE information being available to owners on their phones!
