After many instances of me reporting multiple obvious scam ads on Facebook, and after 100% of the Facebook replies being that they didn’t remove the ad because it doesn’t go against their “advertising standards”, I have given up reporting these scam ads.

The latest scam ad was for Disney Gift Cards. You could purchase a $250 gift card for $105. It didn’t matter how many I wanted to order, the total cost was only $105. I added 10 to the cart and the price was still only $105 for $2500 worth of gift cards. To make this scam even more obvious, they had a Costco logo at the top. Yet this scammer is good enough for Facebook.

The image below is from likely the same scammer. Slightly different name but exact same scam. In this case though, the $2500 worth of gift cards is only $99. I couldn’t bring up the original scam ad I reported because Facebook’s idea of protecting their customers is to “hide” the ad from you after you report it as a scam. Shame on Facebook but I assume they don’t care.

Yep! Meta is collecting the Ad Revenue!
They could care less. But hey! It is boosting your investment portfolio.
I am sure that somewhere in your investments you have an indirect holding in Meta.

Yes they suck!

You had me at "Facebook only pretends to ...". A "social networking" company run by a sociopath? What could go wrong? What wouldn't they pretend?

Sadly this is true of many online ads. The social media companies are brining in the revenue, so they don't really care if the ad is for scam services.

I have reported many ads as scams and the response from facrebook is the same. The ad meets our standards. Here is their response
We didn’t remove the ad
Thanks again for your report. This information helps us improve the integrity and relevance of advertising on Facebook.
We use a combination of technology and human reviewers to process reports and identify content that goes against our Advertising Standards. In this case, we did not remove the ad you reported.
If you think we made a mistake, you can request a review of this decision within 180 days.
We understand this might be frustrating, so we recommend influencing the ads you see by hiding ads and changing your ad preferences. Learn more about how we take action on reports like yours.

I just refuse to buy anything from a facebook ad

I just refuse to buy anything from a facebook ad
I once bought a hoodie, and it was perfect. A couple of years later I bought a t-shirt. I was supposed to be a uni-sex 2XL but has more like a small, maybe medium (although the inside tag did say 2XL). I got no resolution from the company, so I refuted the credit card purchase and received a full refund. Add me to the "NEVER AGAIN" via a Facebook ad.
