All of our vacations are off. The only travel I have planned is some personal business to Florida - I haven't decided on a date(s), but it will have to happen in the next couple of months. I was thinking of asking my family if they want to come, but there's a reason we don't typically take summer vacations to Florida.

What an awesome plan. Country and rural living may boom, over the next few years. Go for it!
I already have country living/city convenience. I had planned to pay off this house and retire here; I like where I am. Now? Even before the pandemic, once I reconnected with Stacey last summer (hs friend) and visited a couple times, I just started getting so many ideas. Many I would have liked to do here, but 1.5 ac has limits that 30 ac doesn't.

I have been torn for a while. Now, it's a valid option for cutting my expenses to nearly nothing, a very helpful option to have for the unknown impacts of financial crisis on me. That's a rough start over, tho, after all these years of modern conveniences ... I'm mid 50s in decent shape, so do-able for quite a while to help build the place out.

There is always tomorrow to decide to move, but once I leave this shanty in the woods, I can't have it back. I know this place suits me, but I could be dead wrong about truly enjoying living in the woods. I will tread carefully on such a big decision.

For these reasons dd and I are seriously considering moving our river cruise from 2021 to 2022.
ooooh, river cruise! I would love to do that. I am hoping planets align and you get to have the cruise sooner vs later.

We would like to consider a road trip but was just informed by AAA that if our car breaks down they will tow the vehicle but they no longer will allow us to ride in the cab. i.e. we would need to find our own transportation! Now sure breaking down in the middle of nowhere with no transportation is a good plan.

We have it booked for 2021. It's actually my dd who is the one pushing for it to be later.

That's a great time to be in Branson, before it gets crazy hot. I hope that whatever you plan to see and do is open for you.

Well, we just cancelled our big Orlando trip with my B-I-L and his family, so that all the cousins could be together and visit the parks. With the parks unlikely to be fully open (if at all) by that full second week in June, we nixed it. Luckily, I put ePlus on the Imperial Palms villa we had snagged around Christmastime.

TUG advice: I pulled this from II inventory at the time (no OGS needed), which is the only option available with II. Looking at going over New Year's. Thoughts of me pulling that same trade with EPlus? Would definitely need a three bedroom....

We have canceled all travel for 2020. We have a trip to Fiji planned in May 2021 only because we can‘t get a refund from Fiji Air but that might get canceled too if it is still not safe to travel. Usually a year from now seems like a long time. Right now, May 2021 feels like it is just around the corner. I can‘t see the world being back to normal, or even a new normal, in 2021. I would travel if it is deemed safe to travel this year or next year but I am not making any plans until I know I will not lose my money.

Fiji! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I would hate to see this fall through. I haven't made it there yet, tho it is on my list, so I want it for you. A lot can happen between now and then.

100% resale!!
I have a bunch of local short stay trips. 5 nights in Bonnet Creek, 2 nights in Clearwater and 6 nights in Pompano beach. I know it's going to be a pain in the butt getting a 2021 reservation because of point extensions so I'm actually trying to burn through all my 2021 points now. I only have 374,000 2021 points left if those reservation go through.

We pulled the plug on our Med cruise in 2021. If in the meantime a miracle happens, we can always re-book. But, as much as we want to go (which is a lot), we're not in a hurry and we'll wait as long as we need to.

Since we're still tied to the school schedule (DW teaches), this summer is too close, so we're not going anywhere in 2020.

Wellll was browsing what the AC could bring, and as I am working from home probably into June...Quarter House is available first week in June...asked hubs if he was up for a road trip. Looks like New Orleans may be in phases of reopening. Will likely wait until later in the week after governor announcement and decide then.

Not going to any shows, it's more just to go somewhere and do something, even if it's walking along the Lake or in some park. We're easy! Branson much cooler than where I live.

The Big Easy in early June will be a sauna. The first time I went in June, there were heat indexes of 120 degrees. I swore never again, but the inlaws did a big 50th anniversary gathering with family this past June, so we went. Not *quite* as hot as it was on that first trip, but we all made sure that we were back at the resort by mid-afternoon because the pool or the AC room was the only place to be (Avenue Plaza.)

Hope it works too. Haven't been back to New Orleans since Katrina. Even just walking around a bit and hanging at resort would be fine.

June 5 th we are going to Canyon Villas. My sister is supposed to be at Desert Oasis at the same time but if the pools aren’t open she is not going . We will go either way.

We could drive 11 hours, we have air line tickets. Right now I am leaning towards the flight. Masks on.

No major ts travel or cruises plans for 2020. Looks liked my travel plans are very limited walking to the front door to the mailbox, maybe a trip to the grocery store, then to Lowes or HD and back home.

I may purchase a crab cage/pot/basket , a crabbing net and start crabbing. LOL:ponder:

This is not good planning on my part.

I see where Disney Shanghai has reopened but with many restrictions

Disney characters wearing masks, looks odd but I suppose not as odd looking as Colonial Williamsburg characters like Thomas Jefferson wearing a mask (when they eventually reopen)

We were booked for May 1 - 21 at Sunriver in central Oregon. Resort closed to May 15 leaving the last week of our trip available.

I think we are going to go. It's a 7 hour drive. We can take sandwiches for lunch on the drive. Fortunately I have until the day before to decide (both through exception policy and the point protection I have).

We will be the first people in the unit for a month or so due to the closure and it is a great little self contained cabin so easy to socially distance. I'm sure the pool and hot tub will be closed but it's a great place to just hang out.

We also booked some time in Napa in August (only an hour away) to fill some of the vacation we expect to lose for our planned August time in Wisconsin/Chicago/New York City.
