I wanted to create a video that provided a lessons learned from my travels. I have gotten a lot of joy from my travels and I wanted to share them with you. I hope that my experience would be an inspiration for many of you. I've tried to encapsulate my experiences so that you can learn from them.

Although I talk about my experiences, I am really just trying to tell my story. I got so wrapped up in living my life that I rarely examined what I was doing. We only have so much time on earth, so making the most of that time is important. My year of travel has allowed me to examine and make choices on what I want to do next. My choices may not be your choices, but the process I have followed may be of value.

There is not a lot of technical specifics in this video. Mostly just my lessons learned. I hope that it provides a sense of the opportunities should you decide to follow in my footsteps.

That is an interesting undertaking, full time in timeshares for a year.

When I was an HOA president on the OBX, we had an owner who had 52 fixed weeks around the country and drove that circuit every year. He was an older man and single. We had an address on where to send his m/f bill based on where he would be at the time it was mailed. His last year, we got word that he had died about a month after his annual week at our resort. I met him one time when we happened to have an HOA board meeting during his week.

I am doing my year of travel after my first career (I am starting another). Many people do it after college.... I was too focused then on establishing a career. I am glad I got a chance to do it. I won't travel full time in 2023. I've created a lifetime of good memories.

Interesting, it seem that you really enjoyed traveling and vacationing on the west coast; especially in the state of California.

Also like Hawaii... I live in California so I do a lot of short driving trips... And why the DRI sites matter to me.

After 40+ years of T/S ownership, I am no longer "an owner"

I am like you . . . I opted to get going into my career/field (which I changed around the age of 35) . . . but now retiring at 65 I'm looking forward to blending work with travel (like living in Yellowstone this past summer).
