My grand daughter just told me she wants to go to Hershey Park next summer, so now I have to plan a trip for that area. Love the tips in this thread, any great places that you can recommend to stay at, it will be 3 adults, 2 kids, age 9 and 2 by next summer. I get get discount tickets for the park thru work, so that will save me money

Strasburg railroad is also about 55 minutes away.

@tschwa2 , I highly recommend Strasburg Railroad, my dad and I took our oldest there when he was 5 --- 30 years ago and had the best time...

We live close enough that we do Strasburg Railroad without Hershey. When my boys were younger , we combined Strasburg, Cherry Crest Farms, and Dutch Wonderland on a fall camping weekend most years. It has been a few years but maybe next year, it will be time for a Strasburg/ Cherry Crest Farms Corn maze camping trip.

The Pennsylvania Railroad museum in Strasburg is also a fun outing for train enthusiasts.
