Traditionally eaten at Christmas time. In our previous two homes we’d listen for TAMALE TAMALE TAMALE and holler back TAMALE and then run out with our five dollar bills to the tamale cart man. Almost as good as the ice cream truck!

All cooks know that when something happens, such as a lid falling off or scorching the mix in the pan, the only solution is to just move on from that batch and start a new one. Sometimes, instead of sending that mix down the garbage disposal, a cook will let the preparation continue, to be able to gather information on the outcome from that mistake.

If so, perhaps our alien visitors are merely the products of God's improved second or third batches, tasked with monitoring and collecting data on that botched early attempt.
