Well...the pink dresses and the outrageous wigs did not dampen the spirit of these songs from the 60's but paid tribute to a moment of time from the past. Lovely job by three lovely ladies. Not earthshattering...just a small bright spot of memories from when I was young...and the world was a much simpler time.

I got a chuckle when I looked at the wording on the album cover. Due to the tune being the same as God Save the King, I could easily imagine the album retitled slightly to:

Charles III
from
America

This is one of those songs that appealed to me right away. I can still remember the first time I heard it. I was driving down the Harbor Freeway just over a half-century ago towards Newport Beach in my then gf's VW Beetle when it came on the radio. I have been a lifelong fan ever since. I still have the album.
