Trying to Assist my elderly father in disposing of 4 Timeshare weeks at Hyatt Pinion Pointe which he acquired before the passing of my mother. They were all purchased direct. I believe I have gotten it through to my father that he is not likely to recover nearly what he paid for these.

He has:

Week 12 Annual - 2,000 points 2 br, dues $1738
Week 13 Annual - 2,000 points 2 br, dues $1738
Week 18 Even Yrs - 2000 points 2 br, dues $1733
Floating Portfolio - 1300 points 1 br, dues $1865

I'm looking on Redweek, and the prices are all over the place. Someone has Week 18 annual 2 br listed at $5900 which shows pending. Also trying to decide if we should try to sell ourselves on Redweek or use a broker. We are not very familiar with the selling process.

The 3 units will likely have better value than what appears to be 1300 Portfolio Program points. The easiest approach may be to contact Bill Gabrielli at 775-690-2653 or billgabrielli@me.com. He is a broker who specializes in Hyatt timeshares. We have used him several times to buy and sell units. He can give you an idea of value and help you decide whether to try to sell them yourself using redweek or have him sell them for you.

I second the recommendation to contact Bill Gabrielli. He knows Hyatt well and will be the best person to help your Dad. The Portfolio points are actually a liability but Bill will know if they can be disposed of. Weeks 12 and 13 are a nice time of year to be in Sedona. Someone might buy them to use.
