We are in the market to purchase a MVC in Aruba, looking at posting for sale there is a big swing in prices for the same location. Also the seasons are listed as Red or White not familiar with what that means?

Thanks

White is the less desirable season and red is the highest desirable. Red will have more interest in potential buyers down the line and usually the season that is the high season for that location. A ski week in Colorado like presidents week in mid feb is a redweek. Where as a summer week there is white. Sure it’s great in the summer but most people want ski weeks in Colorado. Same goes for beaches, winter is desirable and fall when kids are back in school are least Desirable. Unless of course it’s something like Myrtle beach. Then the summer is the high season.

A red week is also referred to as high season or platinum. Depends on the system, as they call it different things. I’d say buy when you want to go. If you go to the Caribbean in the summer buy in that season.Personally I prefer the spring for the Caribbean. It’s still cooler here, coming off the winter making me want to go. Usually the weather in the spring is great

There aren't red and white seasons with Aruba. It is either gold, platinum, or platinum plus. At Ocean Club, Platinum is basically Dec-April and Gold is the rest of the year. Surf Club has a few platinum plus weeks (new years, Christmas week, president's day week and spring break week). The seasons are more about crowds than weather or seasons.

Aruba isn't in the hurricane belt, and it doesn't rain much except for October through December, but even then it is only about 3-4 inches per month. It is very arid. It's about the same temperature year round with average highs 85-89 degrees and it is windy on the west side of the island.

I posted this while the second post was being written/posted. So this is in response to the original post.

Thank for the responses, helpful!
