I am on vacation at an Interval Exchange. Sat thru a presentation today with Wyndham Grand Residence Club. Salesman said that both Interval and RCI inventory are declining by 2% per quarter (8% per year) and eventually they will both be gone as there won’t be any resorts left. He Said that Private Residence Clubs are not timeshares and are the way to go. Said there is a class action lawsuit underway which will drastically change timeshares but wouldn’t provide any further details. Is there any truth in any of this? Does anyone have further info on how a residence club differs from a timeshare?

A timeshare sales person has one goal - to sell you something - you cannot believe anything they say.

Salesman said that both Interval and RCI inventory are declining by 2% per quarter (8% per year) and eventually they will both be gone as there won’t be any resorts left. - LIE

There is a thread in the Mexican Forum :
started Oct 2018 . “Help with Vidanta and Private Reserve Travel Club “

It references - Private Reserve Travel Club - a program run by ICE

there is enough information in the thread to give you insight as to why
these kinds of programs can work for some ; but are often not as useful or complete as the spiel .

I find that sales people will say ANYTHING to make a sale.

My favorite line from TUG:

When do you know a salesperson is lying?

When their lips are moving! :)
