Parking at Hilton Hawaiian Village

People drive into Manhattan during rush hour rather than take public transporation. The bridges going into Manhattan are famous for having 30-45 minute wait times during rush hour, and then they have the concern about parking which can cost $50 or more per day.
Congestion pricing has led to a serious reduction in this. We go to NYC often and subways are the way to go. That and walking. But we stay in the subway-accessible parts of town for the most part.

Cheers.

I did some walking around and here is what I learned about the different lots.

HHV Self Parking - $69/day plus tax with in and out.
Ilikai Marina Garage - $33/day plus tax with in and out. You can buy anywhere from 1 to 5 nights at a time at the machine.
Ala Wai Boat Harbor Parking Lot - They have machines and QR codes. Though the QR codes are on signs that are affixed way up on the light poles. $1/hour. $24/day. 24 hours max. I suspect you can just re-up your time if you park longer than 24 hours. I don't see why you wouldn't have in/out privileges as I don't think you are indicating a space number when you pay. Just your license plate. The lot is not gated. It also looks like there might be a monthly permit available for $150 plus tax.
Hale Koa Parking - $225 monthly parking permit but there is an additional $10 admin fee when you initially purchase. So $235 total. No tax.

It is all about perceived value. Like paying shipping costs on package delivery of that online order, people don't see value from a parking fee.
I am not sure it is really logical, but I am more willing to pay for parking in a garage vs a big open surface lot. I really feel like I am getting ripped off when asked to pay for parking at a random hotel outside of the city center with a flat lot.

That is good info, I don't think the Ilikai garage gets mentioned that much, and at least to me, the option to pay for multiple days with in and out privileges seems attractive.
