Website up, all functions I tried are working and it seems to be zipping along. I don't see any visual changes but I wasn't expecting any because they are eventually (probably) moving the Vistana interface to the new Abound IT platform and that will likely be a cut over when the actual program launches in October 2022 (the date that Marriott gave today on their owners website).

ABOUND BY MARRIOTT VACATIONS
If an Owner is not enrolled in Abound by Marriott Vacations™, can they still reserve a vacation at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts?
  • Unenrolled Marriott Vacation Club week Owners may be able to use a week from their Home Resort to place an internal exchange request through Interval International® for Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club resorts. Owners at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club Resorts who do not participate in Abound by Marriott Vacations will continue to use the Vistana Signature Network for internal exchange opportunities at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts.

Is Abound by Marriott Vacations™ a new program?
What is Abound by Marriott Vacations?

  • Abound by Marriott Vacations™ is the new name of what we previously called the Marriott Vacation Club Destinations® Exchange Program.
  • Abound is an expanded exchange program made possible through the affiliation of the Vistana Signature Network™ (VSN) with Abound by Marriott Vacations™.
  • The affiliation will enable Enrolled Owners and Points Owners to use Club Points to reserve vacations throughout an expanded network of brands, including Marriott Vacation Club® resorts and Marriott Vacation Club Pulse® properties, Sheraton® Vacation Club resorts, Westin® Vacation Club resorts, and Vistana Beach Club in Jensen Beach, Florida.
  • Reservations at Sheraton Vacation Club resorts, Westin Vacation Club resorts, and Vistana Beach Club using the Abound by Marriott Vacations™ exchange program are expected to be functional and go live in October 2022, for reservations beginning with the 2023 Use Year. Owners will be notified when this capability in Abound is available.
  • Additionally, Harborside Resort at Atlantis and The Westin Riverfront Resort and Spa will not be initially available to reserve using Club Points through Abound. We anticipate that these resorts may be available in the future.
Why is the Vistana Signature Network (VSN) being affiliated with Abound?
  • When Marriott Vacations Worldwide acquired ILG in 2018, we announced that we intended to look for ways to expand vacation opportunities for Owners across the Marriott Vacation Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, and Westin Vacation Club brands. Since that announcement, we have been working behind the scenes to set up the guidelines, systems, and technology to enable expanded offerings and fulfill this promise. The affiliation with Abound is the result of the efforts to offer Owners more choices and more destinations in a way that’s simple to navigate and understand.
BENEFIT LEVELS
Will the affiliation of the VSN with Abound by Marriott Vacations™ impact Owner benefit levels?
  • The affiliation itself will not impact Owner benefit levels.
  • However, if you are an Owner who owns inventory with Marriott Vacation Club and also owns VOIs with Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club that are enrolled in VSN— which is now affiliated with Abound — it is possible that your Owner benefit level could go up, based on the total election value of all your ownership across all affiliated brands.
  • Whether the election value of Sheraton Vacation Club and/or Westin Vacation Club VOIs may be added to your existing Marriott Vacation Club vacation interests depends on factors such as how you took title of the different VOIs and inventory owned across the affiliated brands.
CLUB RESORTS & PROPERTIES
What types of accommodations can Owners and Members expect to receive at Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club villa resorts?
  • Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts are premium tier vacation ownership resorts featuring upscale resort amenities and villa-style accommodations. Depending on the resort, Owners will have the choice of reserving studios to 1-, 2-, 3-, and even 4-bedroom villa-style accommodations in certain locations. To learn about the types of accommodations available at each resort, view the property’s Points Chart.

Where are the Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club villa resorts located?
Where can Owners learn more about the Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club villa resorts?
  • You can view the locations and learn about all of the resorts in VSN including the Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts here.
Will Owners now be eligible to receive a rental discount for reservations at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts?
  • Yes, based on availability of discounted rental rates.
  • Owner and Select benefit level Owners may be able to receive a 25% discount when renting nights at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts. Please reference applicable discount terms and conditions.
  • Executive and Presidential benefit level Owners may receive a 30% discount when renting nights at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts.
  • Chairman’s Club benefit level Owners may receive a 35% discount when renting nights at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts.
  • The Owner rental discount codes will be the same as at all participating resorts and properties in the network and depends on an Owner’s benefit level as follows. Owners may reserve the discount rate on their Owner website, or on Marriott.com using the following codes:
    • 7VC – 25% off – Owners and Select benefit level Owners
    • 6VC – 30% off – Executive benefit level Owners
    • 2VC – 35% off – Presidential and Chairman’s Club benefit level Owners
ELECTING & MANAGING CLUB POINTS
How do I bank Club Points?
  • You may bank some or all of your Club Points into a subsequent Use Year if you do so by the applicable deadline within the current Use Year.
  • Your banking timeframes are based on your Owner benefit level, as follows. Once banked, Club Points may not be banked again, borrowed back, or transferred to another Owner.

  • Two transactional deadlines are changing beginning with the 2023 Use Year for Owners at some benefit levels for added flexibility, and to align with other deadlines to make the product simpler.
  • The banking Club Points deadline is changing for Chairman’s Club benefit level Owners beginning with their 2023 Use Year as follows:

CLUB POINTS RESERVATIONS & WAITLIST
Can Owners use Club Points to reserve a stay at a Sheraton Vacation Club or a Westin Vacation Club resort 13 months prior to arrival?
  • No. Owners can reserve a Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club resort no earlier than 12 months prior to arrival.
  • Even those who own VOIs with Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club may not make a reservation for a stay at their Home Resort(s) earlier than 12 months prior to arrival.
How many Club Points will be required to reserve a stay in a Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club resort?
  • We have added Points Charts for the Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts to your Owner website. They can be viewed here: Points Charts.
How will vacations at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts become available to reserve using my Club Points?
  • Similar to how vacations are made available at Marriott Vacation Club resorts and properties, reservations to stay at Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club resorts will be available in the Abound by Marriott Vacations™ exchange program when an Owner of a VOI in those brands elects to receive Club Points. Availability at Westin Vacation Club and Sheraton Vacation Club resorts for Marriott Vacation Club owners will depend on the number of Westin Vacation Club and Sheraton Vacation Club owners at those resorts who elect to receive Club Points. For this reason, it is possible that there could be limited availability at some Westin Vacation Club and Sheraton Vacation Club resorts.
If a reservation is not immediately available at a Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club resort, can an Owner place an internal waitlist request for a reservation?
  • Yes. Owners will be able to use Club Points to place a waitlist request for a Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club resort beginning with 2023 check-ins as follows:

  • Yes, it is possible that Marriott Vacation Club Destinations Escapes may be available at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts. These discounted stays may be available after a VSN Member elects to receive Club Points; consequently, inventory may be limited.

Will Owners at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club villa resorts be able to make reservations at Marriott Vacation Club resorts and properties?
  • Yes, Owners of a Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club VOI that is enrolled in VSN (and not opted-out) who elect to receive Club Points to use for reservations within the Abound by Marriott Vacations™ exchange program will be able to make a reservation at Marriott Vacation Club resorts. When a Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club Owner elects to receive Club Points, inventory at their Home Resort(s) is made available in the Abound exchange program, and they may redeem the Club Points for new reservations in the Abound exchange program.
  • VOIs enrolled in VSN at Harborside Resort at Atlantis and Westin Riverfront resort will not be able to elect to receive Club Points at the time that transactions are available through Abound and these VOIs will not count toward the Owner Benefit Level. We anticipate that these VOIs will be eligible for Club Points election in the future. Additionally, other Owners will not be able to use Club Points to reserve a stay at these resorts until Owners at these properties are able to elect to receive Club Points.
CRUISES, HOTELS, AND MORE
Will Owners at Sheraton Vacation Club and Westin Vacation Club resorts be able to use Club Points to reserve vacation tours, Exclusive Owner Events, and Owner cruises?
  • Yes, all Owners who have VOIs enrolled in VSN (and not opted-out) as of the date Abound transactions go live can elect to receive Club Points and then use those Club Points to confirm vacations throughout the entire network of options, including vacations at resorts, cruises, adventure tours, and Exclusive Owner Events.
MARRIOTT BONVOY
Will the affiliation of the VSN with Abound by Marriott Vacations™ impact Marriott Bonvoy Elite level?
  • Your Marriott Bonvoy Elite level is based on your Owner benefit level. If your Owner benefit level increases based on your combined Club Points total with the newly affiliated brands, then it is possible that your Marriott Bonvoy Elite level could go up.
FEES, DUES AND LOANS
Will the affiliation of the VSN with Abound by Marriott Vacations™ impact the Club Dues amount?
  • While the Club Dues amount is subject to change, we do not anticipate the affiliation of the VSN to have a significant impact on Club Dues. However, if you are an Owner who owns inventory with Marriott Vacation Club and also owns VOIs with Sheraton Vacation Club or Westin Vacation Club that are enrolled in VSN — which is now affiliated with Abound — it is possible that the fees you pay could be impacted by an increase in your Owner benefit level. Since a consolidated fee that replaces the individual separate transaction fees that were previously billed to VSN members on an a la carte basis will now be part of your annual Club Dues, the amount of your overall fees may be reduced*.
* Whether the election value from the newly affiliated brands may be added to your existing election value or Club Points total depends on factors such as how you took title of the different VOIs and inventory owned across all the brands.

I wonder if they didn't have issues with the Vistana.com upgrades and had to revert changes? Thus the reason for the additional downtime throughout the day?

Tried to pay the MF and it errored out after submitting the payment. Now I got a pending change on CC but the balance remains in my account. Need to call Vistana to sort it out tomorrow. What a waste of my time!

It takes them a couple days to update your online balance so the payment may have actually gone through :unsure:

It looks like they are still working on the website in the background. Early yesterday morning I saw a video that said you will still be able to use VSN if you want to. Then, like magic, the video was no longer there. I also just now saw most of the information about the exchange program and FAQ’s on Vistana.com, but you have to look for it. Scroll to the bottom of the home page and click on “Site Map”. Some of it is not visible yet. There is a page called, “IMPORTANT INFORMATION.” There are some also links that work (or did when I looked) for the “Exchange Program” and “FAQ’s.” The pages seem to come and go as they work on the website.

It was working for me earlier, but it is down now.
At this point it seems an Air Koryo Tupolev Tu-204 runs more efficiently with fewer crashes.
