We are going to Palm Beach Resort & Beach club for 2 weeks in April and was wondering if we really need a rental car. Seems like they are so expensive right now!! Any thoughts? TIA
IMHO, you need a car -- that is, if you'd like to go anyplace outside the resort. Palm Beach has a lot to offer and many interesting places, but having a car is the only way to do it, as the resort itself is not close to anything.
One thing you should not miss in Palm Beach is lunch at "The Breakers," a historic, luxury ocean-front hotel, built by one of the pioneers of Florida, Henry Flagler. See:

You could rent a car for just a portion of your stay...
Enterprise advertises that they'll pick you up and return you.
