I am a life long Lions fan. I have been through so much with the bad Lions that I needed therapy. Fortunately, the last two years has been my therapy. This was to be the Lions year! The Lions feared no one. Even when their defensive heart Aiden Hutchinson broke his leg the Lions kept the foot on the throttle. The injuries kept coming but the Lions kept winning. It finally caught up to the Lions against a very good Bills team. The Lions had many practice squad players filling the gaps and the Bills took advantage. To make matters worse, the Lions lost two more starting defensive players during that game. Just as important, they also lost arguably the heart of the offense - David Montgomery.

Looking back to the defensive starters in game one, the Lions only have four starters left. If that wasn’t bad enough, they also have four back-up DL on injured reserve too. The Lions are in the playoffs and I am thankful for that. The Lions have enough grit to possibly overcome all the injuries so I am remaining hopeful.

I know that all of the other NFL team fans don’t care about the Lions injuries and I understand that. If there are any other Lions’ fans out there I am sure you share what I am going through.

This time of year going into the playoffs, the teams that do the best are the ones that are the healthiest. I think the injuries are catching up to the Lions and may have snagged the Chiefs this week too.

How would rate the Dallas Cowboys rating as of December 7, 2024 ?

Washington beat the Dallas Cowboys in their stadium with a back up quarterback. 23-19 with less than 5 seconds in the game…LOL

Not too many things in life are better than watching the Cowboys get beat!

Proud of the Lions! I was nervous going into the Vikings game. The Vikings have a great offense and Jefferson has historically lit up the Lions (one example. 12 catches and 192 yards in the final game last year). The Lions defense has been decimated with injuries all year. The performance of the Lions defense in the game was a shock but is a testament to the culture and coaching. All the players believe in the team and that may very well take them to their first Super Bowl appearance/win in their history.

For me, it's seeing them Win....to each his own.... I simply cheer for my team.
My dislike of the Cowboys actually goes back to my childhood. I was first a huge Cowboys fan. But in the mid-late 60’s when the kept getting beat by the Packers, I got tired of it and became a Packers and Jets fan. I loved the Packers because of Bart Starr and the Jets because of Joe Namath. I just never got over my dislike of the Cowboys for some reason. Then, for the last 30 years, Jerry Jones has made it real easy to not like them. ;)

DH was a Cowboys fan until Tom Landry found out from the media, not from Jerry Jones, that he was fired. The Cowboys lost a fan that day.
Three (3) of the greatest coaches in the NFL history were all fired by the owner Jerry Jones: Bill Parcells, Jimmy Johnson and Tom Landry. IMHO
