I am a life long Lions fan. I have been through so much with the bad Lions that I needed therapy. Fortunately, the last two years has been my therapy. This was to be the Lions year! The Lions feared no one. Even when their defensive heart Aiden Hutchinson broke his leg the Lions kept the foot on the throttle. The injuries kept coming but the Lions kept winning. It finally caught up to the Lions against a very good Bills team. The Lions had many practice squad players filling the gaps and the Bills took advantage. To make matters worse, the Lions lost two more starting defensive players during that game. Just as important, they also lost arguably the heart of the offense - David Montgomery.
Looking back to the defensive starters in game one, the Lions only have four starters left. If that wasn’t bad enough, they also have four back-up DL on injured reserve too. The Lions are in the playoffs and I am thankful for that. The Lions have enough grit to possibly overcome all the injuries so I am remaining hopeful.
I know that all of the other NFL team fans don’t care about the Lions injuries and I understand that. If there are any other Lions’ fans out there I am sure you share what I am going through.
