I stayed in the Lagoon Tower in January 2025 for 10 days and there were three floors of the Rainbow Tower being renovated. I was on the beach in front of Fort DeRussy and also the lagoon beach area and I could not hear any construction noises (but I could see the workers). The three floors of Rainbow Tower that were closed for construction were about halfway up the tower.

I'm glad you didn't have to deal with construction noise during your January stay.

Hopefully that means they completed all of the jackhammering last year
The Rainbow Tower project has an estimated completion of 1st quarter. From post #14, the scope of work includes the addition of 12 Rainbow tower guestrooms due to the conversion of suites along with the full renovation of almost 50% of Rainbow Tower's rooms.

@bobbi_1217 was referring to Hilton Waikoloa Village (HWV) not Hilton Hawaiian Village (HHV) which has the Kalia Tower/
So now I'm completely confused. I assumed HWV was a typo since, "New Tower proposed for HHV".

Sorry for the confusion.
The slides from the investor presentation that I added to this thread covers proposed changes for both Hilton Hawaiian Village and Hilton Waikoloa Village . As a result, folks are commenting on both.

But then people started talking about Hilton Waikoloa Village. It confused me too. I thought it was a typo also or somehow Hilton Waikiki Village.

It's easy to get confused; both acronyms are pretty close. Both resorts feature a lagoon, have a "Lagoon Tower", with one being a timeshare, and the other standard hotel rooms. Not to mention seems like people complain about the cost of parking at both resorts...
