New tier level in HH

I let you know when I get 'My Invite'
Shhh! It's a secret Honor Society. The one rule about Honor Society is that we don't talk about Honor Society....

Maybe I am in, but I just haven't been informed.

I am a lifetime Diamond from my business travel, and I'm fairly certain I won't reach any higher level, which works for me. I will be surprised if they offer either of these new levels to anyone based on their T/S ownership, but I suppose it's possible.

We're both "lifetime" Diamond... until we stop paying for the credit card :)

As long as Diamonds still get breakfast and lounge access at international locations and the occasional upgrade, I'm fine with the added levels.

Cheers.

Lifetime Diamond does come with a few minor perks beyond regular Diamond, but nothing that significant. Most notable are dedicated reservation agents, really only useful for complicated bookings. It must also show on the reservation as front desk clerks often comment. Might have a better shot at upgrades, but not really certain on that.

Another new "secret" level....The Honor Society. I wonder if it comes with a secret handshake...:)

All of us HGVC Legacy EP's & Max Premier Plus should be part of their secret elite tier. Our purchase price and maintenance fees should count towards spend. We are special and they should treat us better.

We should, at least, have our own secret handshake..:)

I haven't received the secret handshake yet. Does that mean that I ain't in?

I do not want to start another thread about the HH Diamond Reserve, so I'm going to add on to this one.

If you have paid your 2026 MF (I'm addressing the owners paying $18k+ in MF) have you been upgraded to Diamond Reserve?

I just saw at a Hampton Inn near Atlanta that the "Diamond" parking spaces are now indicated as "Diamond Elite" whatever that means. Maybe some confusion on the naming.

You also need 80 nights or 40 stays.

I think that is just Diamond. We park at those.

We are staying at the Intercontinental Buckhead, ATL right now and are Diamond Elite and Ambassador but don't get free lounge access...ugh.... wish we were at a Hilton where we would with our Diamond status there... But using our free nights at the Intercon for the weekend.

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it anywhere...

HHonors has introduced a new upper tier: Diamond Reserve.

I am wondering if anyone has heard anything, or if there are plans in the works to grant this level to some of the higher HGVC ownership tiers. Currently multiple ownership levels include the Diamond Status. It would make sense that the highest tiers of HGVC ownership would also grant the highest level of HHonors membership.

It would make sense if HGVC thinks it will help them sell more timeshares and "upgrade" people to HGV Max. Marriott doesn't offer their highest level, Ambassador Elite, to any of their timeshare owner levels. If HGVC were to make such an offer, it would probably, somehow, be tied to the Max ownership tiers and not the legacy ownership tiers.

@gvaughn, moved your message to the thread

HGVC likely won’t be able to give this. This is similar to what Bonvoy has done - they want you to spend money at their properties in order to get the highest status level, rather than just basing it on credit card or nights stayed like the other levels have.

The new Diamond reserve is harder to obtain than Marriott Ambassador with less benefits in my opinion. Marriott Ambassador has higher spend threshold but you can get ENC through credit cards (40 nights). I think the $18k is pretty reasonable but the 80 nights is a lot more dedication.

Most work travel averages about $300/$400 per night with meals exc. which means most people would hit the spend with 60 nights roughly.

If anyone is give the new status for purchasing it will most likely be the fractional Hilton owners for Waldorf/Conrad residences. This would make the most sense as they’ve always given them an owners rate and Diamond for purchasing with amongst other perks.
