I have stayed at SW, BB, & GO (all more than once). I love SW. I know that most people seem to like GO best, but that is my least favorite of the three. (I do, however, like the proximity, and gate pass, to Sea Pines. I think that is a big part of why it is usually preferred.)
SW has beautiful grounds and is such a quiet, restful place. We have stayed there NY week and in the height of summer. It is in a very residential area surrounded by some beautiful homes. It's location is a big factor in the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the resort and beach. Even so, we had my sister's 10-yo granddaughter with us and there was plenty for her to do. There were tons of activities going on. The park is right there. There is a miniature golf & arcade a short walk or bike ride away. It is also not a bad bike ride to Shelter Cove from there. (Unless you go in the heat of a summer day - not much shade on the path except very early.)
Even the grounds are beautiful and restful - the little lake, a walk over the marshes, through the protected grounds within the resort. It helps that the units are so new and pretty. And the shower in the master bath is to die for.
I think next we might try either Harbor Town or Heritage Club. Heritage Club for the golf package and I do like like where it sits in a quiet little corner of Sea Pines right next to Harbor Town area. And Harbor Town must have some great views of the inlets and the bay right there. I love water views - doesn't have to be ocean. HT also seems more like a hotel with the elegant lobby, all one building, etc. - I think the experience would be different. Anyone ever stayed there? I'd loved to hear some input.
