I have a good number of photo's from our current stay at Barony Beach Club on HHI. I still have a few to get like the lobby and the fitness center but, there's 96 photo's up of the unit we are in and the general grounds. If you want to view them click on the picture below and it should take you directly to the album. If that fails you can also click on the link in my signature at the bottom of the page. You'll then have to select the Barony Beach photo album.

Thanks so much for the picture link. The garden view looks really pretty (landscaping, etc.).

The kitchen countertops and cabinets remind me of Cypress Harbour.

Nice photos... I really like the place.. I'd be happy to trade there.

Very nice pictures! Thanks for sharing them.
I would post my pics from Grande Vista last summer if I only knew how to set up a link!

Webshots makes it easy by providing the link. All you have to do is copy and paste.

I worst comes to worst, all you should have to do is copy and past the URL of your photo album. You highlight the URL by left clicking it, then copy by getting the drop down box by right clicking what you've highlighted and selecting copy. To past all you have to do is start an new post, right click to get the drop down box and click paste. The copied URL should automatically post in the new thread/post for you.

There are other/better ways to do this but, I'm not that computer literate and this is the one way I know that works for me. An example of this would be the link in my signature below which takes you to my Webshots page which has all my photo albums.

Wow, Great pics and so detailed!!! We'll be there in August and now I'm REALLY excited. How far are those blue cabanas from the pool or beach? Can you rent one for the week? Thanks.

Doug what was the water temp down there?

I only see one guy in the outdoor pool......was it too cold to swim?

Very nice photos and so detailed of the condo. What are these creatures on the sand?

The Cabana's are advertised as $65/day. I suppose one could be rented by the week but I don't know if there is would be any discount if you did.

The water was fine. I try to take photo's at times when there aren't a lot of people around. Usually early in the morning or late of the evening.

I believe you're probably refering to the Horseshoe crabs. There is also a picture of a jellyfish in there. There have been a LOT of jellyfish in the water this week. The ocean temps are fine for swimming but the large number of jelly's has kept me out of the water.

Great photos! Makes me homesick!:D

I don't remember our villas ever having that opaque window between the garden tub and the toilet though. Is that newly added in some renovation? We haven't been since '05. Stayed at Surfwatch our last visit. It was really nice but it wasn't Barony.

It does not appear to be new to me.

To be honest, it wouldn't be noticed by anyone unless someone gets up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and flips on the light. If you do, you essentially illuminate the entire room. If you SO isn't ready for it, it's a rude awakening.

We toured Surfwatch today and were quite impressed. Next trip to HHI I think we'll request both Surfwatch and Grand Ocean and see what happens. We have had a very relaxing time here at Barony and will be sorry when our week is over this coming Friday. Unfortunately, I still have to go back to work in order to pay for our next vacaction.

I have stayed at SW, BB, & GO (all more than once). I love SW. I know that most people seem to like GO best, but that is my least favorite of the three. (I do, however, like the proximity, and gate pass, to Sea Pines. I think that is a big part of why it is usually preferred.)

SW has beautiful grounds and is such a quiet, restful place. We have stayed there NY week and in the height of summer. It is in a very residential area surrounded by some beautiful homes. It's location is a big factor in the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the resort and beach. Even so, we had my sister's 10-yo granddaughter with us and there was plenty for her to do. There were tons of activities going on. The park is right there. There is a miniature golf & arcade a short walk or bike ride away. It is also not a bad bike ride to Shelter Cove from there. (Unless you go in the heat of a summer day - not much shade on the path except very early.)

Even the grounds are beautiful and restful - the little lake, a walk over the marshes, through the protected grounds within the resort. It helps that the units are so new and pretty. And the shower in the master bath is to die for.

I think next we might try either Harbor Town or Heritage Club. Heritage Club for the golf package and I do like like where it sits in a quiet little corner of Sea Pines right next to Harbor Town area. And Harbor Town must have some great views of the inlets and the bay right there. I love water views - doesn't have to be ocean. HT also seems more like a hotel with the elegant lobby, all one building, etc. - I think the experience would be different. Anyone ever stayed there? I'd loved to hear some input.

Between the two of us, I know someone has gotten up in the middle of the night over the last 5 years. (insert chuckle here and finger pointing!) I just don't remember the bedroom lighting up and DH is not the type to not turn on the light. Oh well. I'm going to have to check it out next time!

The new pavilion looks nice. They were building it when we walked down from Surf Watch. There was a lot of activity - resurfacing the main pool deck and it looked like some refurbishment in the ocean side buildings. Again, thanks for sharing your pictures.
