Stuck to my guns on this one, told them the point system is a complete scam and had all my data lined up.

Sounds like yours was a Marriott presentation?
 
I'm gonna go to Walmart and buy me some supersize womens undergarments to have ready at the door. "put these on first" before you can come in......."
 
I said no we're not interested in an update, we're not buying any more. Oh but there's resort specific information and updates to the marriott system, changes daily. It's only 75 minutes. No thank you, not interested. Never gotten out in 75 minutes & sales is usually pissed bc we never had any intention of buying & made that clear wuth concierge. (Especially for $200 "sand dollars". Currency only accepted at certain places.) I really hate justifying myself to sales "why are you here?" BC this is an "update", update me would ya?🤭
 
This is why I dread going to my Wyndham properties. The last time I went to Nashville I asked the woman at check-in if wristbands were required. She said that they were not. Then as I was leaving, Concierge stopped me and said I must have a wristband. On another occasion at this location said my vehicle would get towed without it (which makes no sense). I just walked out and told them I was told the wristband wasn't needed. They chased me in the parking lot, and I kept on and drove to my room. I then immediately unplugged the room phone, and they tried calling me 5 times on my cell. It is ridiculous. Now I'm headed back to this resort again in a few days and wondered if I could just say I was there with my sister (which I don't have) even though my wife would be in the vehicle. If I understand correctly, she has to be present, so I'm thinking that may be the quick way out. Thoughts?

I see no reason not to lie to them when they spout lies. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Next time you and your wife go together - and they start in on you and ask if this is your wife with you - have her display a shocked look on her face and blurt out “You have a WIFE!?!!?” That will shut them up.

Last one we went to (Glacier Canyon spring break) they gave us $250 resort cash (moose bucks or something) . Sales guys was nice enough, not overly pushy. Talked about a program where paying our maintenance fee got us extra points (blah blah, I don't remember the specifics becaise I didn't care), 90 minute timer went off and we were done. In fact, the timer went off and he ended it and we were on our way.
