My wife and I are Vacation Village at Bonaventure and would like to take advantage of a deedback opportunity. But since VVB is the only RCI Points resort we own, if we do the deedback, we will lose our 300,000 unused RCI Points.

To not lose our unused RCI Points, I would like to quickly purchase another RCI points resort to continue our RCI points membership, do the deed back, use all our unused points over a couple years, then sell the new RCI Points resort.

Looking for something inexpensive that can later be resold or given away. Any suggestions?
Yes, I am looking at the marketplace, but I'm not looking to jump into another RCI Points resort with a high MF.

Also, could someone let me know what are typical costs to cover "Buyer agrees to cover transfer costs, title, and other changes required to transfer ownership." That alone might be a deal breaker.

Thanks in advance.

You could look for an every third year (or every other year) small points package within the VV Resorts family. I believe TUG member @AwayWeGo has an every third year package at VV@Pkwy (I think) so he could tell you what the maintenance fees are. With those, the total maintenance fee is usually divided by 2 or 3 and paid every year but the total number of points are issued every 2 or 3 years.

Also, before purchasing, make sure all of your 300K points have a long expiry date, or at least that you can use most or all of them before they age out.

WOW! Talk about overthinking, over complicating something.

Use your 300,000 RCI points on your schedule. Theeeennn deedback. If the deedback is not available in the future, just stop paying the maintenance fees on the VV Bonaventure.

What makes you think whatever you might buy as a substitute would be any easier to sell or give away than what you have?
