Need help buying Worldmark points!

Looking to buy Worldmark Points and need some direction on reputable resale companies and the overall purchase process.

First off in WM they call them credits. Typically a fully loaded account goes for $0.32-0.35 cents per credit. 6K fully loaded has 12K in it. For every credit missing subtract .07-.08 cents and that is around what going rate is for an account.

Brokers typically charge on higher end... I have bought 1 with a broker and 2 off eBay. All went just fine. If buying on eBay be sure to read full add as some have you paying MF as soon as you win. Others have closing costs which is a waste... There is no deed no need for closing, maybe escrow services for protection. Once you have won auction or have an agreement with a broker. The broker or owner sends a $299 fee into WM title services to put a hold on account your buying i.e. freezing credits and they will send out transfer documents. Don’t expect Wyndham to send them too fast. Typically takes 6-8 weeks. Once they have been sent both the seller and buyer have to notary sign the documents. They are combined and sent off to WM where it takes another 6-8 weeks to get account in your name. During this process existing owner must keep MF’s paid up.

I got 12K loaded account on eBay last Fall. Out the door, I paid $1556, which was my winning bid. Seller paid all fees, including maintenance fees till closing. It still surprises me how much I got for so little.

It took every bit of three months for the transfer to happen. Wyndham was the slowpoke.

I was very surprised, especially because the seller said I wouldn't receive the credits from the previous year. I was okay with that since the price I was paying was so low. On closing, I found the extra 12K from the previous year were still in the account. So with 12K to borrow, there was 36K available to me. The only thing missing was one housekeeping token. Awesome buy.
