MVC Interval Trading Points vs Reservation

We own both MVC points and a week. Currently, we have a seven day points one bedroom reservation at Aruba Surf Club in November that we might not use. Instead of renting it, can we deposit the reservation with interval, or would we have to convert it back to points and deposit those?

You can't deposit a reservation made with club points into II.
Depositing Club points into II can be a very poor use of Club points, unless the alternative was to loose them completely.
You can search against the club points placeholder in II to see whether you feel it is worth it or not, without having to deposit.

Your options with your reservation made with Club Points is to use it, rent it or cancel it. You can deposit Club Points into II but only via Marriott converting it into a week of their choosing (once you tell them the unit size and TDI range aka point value) and that week cannot be used to exchange to Marriott/Vistana aka Abound properties. Alternately you can skip the deposit and search in II like Hindsite said and once an exchange is confirmed they will pull the points from your MVC account.
