I couldn’t join the meeting today. Was there anything you learned from it?

I couldn't get in. I tried to join the teams call, sat in the lobby, and nobody let me in. Hung up and tried again a few times then gave up. They had sent this document out prior to the call though

Same thing happened to me.

Thanks for posting. Only thing I learned was that 7 months is 217 days. Also noticed that bonus points can't be used for Hilton club reciprocal reservations but think I knew that before but just didn't care. Saves me the effort of attending one of those.

I think the nice part of the document, is that it pulls a lot of stuff that is across documents and web pages into one location so much better for newer folks

Agreed. Some people learn better listening to a presentation or seeing pictures than reading the source documents; I appreciate the fact that HGV is reaching out by other means than the annual rules document.

We all need to bear in mind, though, that this handbook is only good for the present, of course. It does misstate that Diamond is the highest HH tier; that wasn't true before due to the existent of Lifetime Diamond and is less true now with the new Diamond Reserve tier. It does seem to show that there wasn't great communication between Hilton and HGV on the recent change; I kind of give them a pass on the Lifetime Diamond.

Is part 1 posted anywhere?
I haven't seen it but have signed up for the next part 1 webinar. If they send it out, I will add it here

I attended the 1st session a month or two back. At least for me, there was minimal new information. I just signed up for part 2, not sure if that will be more useful, but it's easy enough to attend.

Do they list anywhere which "select resorts" are available for Open Season bookings via HGV Max?

"Booking Window

Last-minute availability for cash-rate stays is available starting 30 days before check-out at select resorts."

In HGVC, it is all the properties based on availability. Not sure if HGVClub with HGV Max can use OS for DRI properties though.

Yes, you can. Whatever properties show up that you can use points on you can also use OS. I did not search all properties but an exception to this is The Fountains in Orlando:

Not sure what's going on with the DRI properties in Orlando but there's some questions.

1. Bryan's Spanish Cove, has designated higher OS rates for "Fri-Sun" compared to all the other resorts of "Thurs-Sat". Looks like typo. Prices reflect like other resorts.

2. Orbit One Vacation, you can book with points but nothing shows up when choose OS, not even a message like the Fountains

3. Parkway International Resort, higher reservation amount shows up than what is listed on it's OS listed rates. This is week 6, should be $278. Double check if want to book OS for this property.

That is the old break down when Friday through Sunday used to use the most most (20% of a weekly stay/night) but they switched it to Thursday to Sunday year January 2025. The other nights are 10% of a weekly stay.

plus for Elite Premier, the OS 30% discount is automatically calculated in to the price that you see but for Max folks, they get a credit instead of the discount so you would see the full OS priced and can use your OS credit when you book

Us lowly HGVClub Legacy members don't have access to those properties to see the OS options...:)

You wouldn’t want to pay cash for any of them anyway…
RCI Extra Vacations seems to be the better way to book them with cash
