Though I would simplify it to say “…make people aware that they should not take the word of a Marriott Advisor.” Goodness knows the CSRs try to do their best to be helpful…but they sometimes get it wrong no matter the topic.
The problem is that the CSRs aren't insurance sales people and really need to be careful what they tell owners. Thus why most all trip insurance policies have some time of period where you can review the policy and cancel for a full refund.

Marriott: Ocean Watch, Newport Coast, Grand Chateau, Custom House, Timber Lodge, VCP's.
Every time I sign up for another year, I am given the opportunity to print out the insurance policy. I read it and it's not great, but it is inexpensive and usually sufficient for my needs. Marriott advisors don't read this stuff - they are just like most of us who buy the policies.
