Although this isn't a timeshare, these are some photos from our balcony at the Marriott Riverfront in Covington, KY. We use a MR certificate here every year for my wife's birthday, and this year it coincides with steamboat weekend to celebrate 250 yr anniversary. The weather has been perfect for the weekend. This is a great place to stay if you are in the Cincinnati area.

I remember staying there once many years ago. At least I think that was the property. It was definitely on the KY side. We did one of the B&B Riverboat cruises during the day and payed bingo against a boat full of nuns. They weren't all that happy when I won. I think I won another trip on a B&B riverboat, but I never used it.

Beautiful pics, hope the weather stays nice as we are heading down there this weekend. Are your rooms facing east or are you just taking those pics on the walkway outside your front door?

We are in an Island view villa that faces north but since it’s a end corner unit the balcony wraps around and faces East..We also have a nice view west towards the water….I posted a few pics yesterday..We always book a high floor(if possible) Island View Villa…weather looks great here until Sunday…of course weather can change…enjoy your vacation…Marco Island and Crystal Shores is fabulous.

We just booked island view at Crystal shores for a 5 night stay mid December ( we know it will likely be cool). Aside from a high floor, is there a building/location ( corner, which?) we should request? When we have always been there in the past, we had higher Gulf Front villas during the summer, so we know we are in for quite a change - but still very excited!)

We were in Villa 1023….it was the first villa after leaving the elevator and entering the hallway…farthest away from the beach..thats why we had a wrap around balcony that faced East..as a matter of fact we had no villas above us.

If you click through the 53 pages in this thread you will see a few Marriott Branded hotels that are not timeshares or fractionals. Just enjoy the pictures or ignore

I do enjoy all the pictures that everyone posts whether they are timeshares, fractionals available using Abound, or hotels. In my opinion it's nice and much more valuable from an information point of view if folks posting hotel pictures identify them as hotel pictures so that other TUG readers don't have to try and figure out how to book them. Optimum solution would be to include it in the posting if desired by editing it, but the responses from others can do the job.

Thanks so much again for the info! We checked into Crystal shores today and had requested “ high floor, corner unit such as room 1023 and reques5 was honored, we were checked into room 1023… Love the view so far, cant wait to see sunrise from here!
