Marriott Surf Club

One is a AC and the other is a getaway. The second bedroom said queen bed and queen sleeper sofa
Maybe they are queen in the second, most studios are King. I get the master so haven't experienced the second BR other than once in a studio. Regardless you should be able to figure out the view type.

Hmm. I guess I’ll call the resort and ask them.

What is the unit codes on the reservations when you look in My History in your II account? You can then compare them to this list.

The studio side of the 2BR lock off at Surf Club is just a queen. The studio side of the 3BR is a king I beleive.

I double checked and that is indeed the case, thanks.

Amazing. Thank you. ZZAA ocean view lockoff.

If these are Interval weeks then the code doesn't mean much. With Interval the only thing guaranteed is the Room [Size: 1BR/2BR], [Type: Lock-Off/Non-Lock-Off].
However, in the past If you are a Marriott owner you can put in a request and hope they upgrade based on your Marriott-Level.
Given COVID, things may be different.

I am VSE owner with Platinum Elite level. Hopefully that throws some weight around. Who knows.

While II exchange technically have no priority, most Marriott resorts keep you in the confirmed unit from your II confirmation. This is for simplicity of inventory control. If they bump that OV down, who do they decide to bump up? They don't upgrade owner reservations. There are only a few resorts that are known to not honor the unit code on the II confirmation.

We are Titanium and other than the welcome gift, I haven't seen any evidence of any advantage at MVC resorts.

I’m not too worried. As long as I’m not surrounded by pit bulls on a balcony or any balcony smokers I’ll be ok!

A government fee of $3 USD/night, a $15 Levy fee, and timeshare taxes of $11.88/day for two- and three-bedroom units
Same for a one bedroom?

A government fee of $3 USD/night, a $15 Levy fee, and timeshare taxes of $10.28/day for a one-bedroom.

On my previous post about the 2 bedrooms I made a mistake... as it was:
A government fee of $3 USD/night, a $25 Levy fee, and timeshare taxes of $11.88/day for two- and three-bedroom units

For a Studio:
A government fee of $3 USD/night, a $10 Levy fee, and timeshare taxes of $9.50/day

Glad I don’t own here. I wouldn’t be too happy paying that each night on top of HOA fees.
This is not a Marriott exclusive, it is the same fees for all the timeshares in Aruba...

Glad I don’t own in Aruba then. Lol

Is the levy fee a one time fee or is it nightly?

So 39 bucks a night for 280 for the week?! That’s insane ok
Let me back up. There's a 1 time fee of $25 per stay for a 2 BR plus a nightly fee of $11.88 the last time we were there in early 2019 for a total of $108.16 for a week our last visit.

Ahhhh ok that’s manageable

I plan on visiting beaches that have clear water for some sort of snorkeling and relaxation. Don’t need to off road much I guess

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Mango Halko for snorkeling. Its down south and there was NOTHING to see when we were there. I was so bummed I had chosen that. Later when we were on a boat and diving up north, we went in to a snorkeling area near a beach and it was REALLY NICE. I don't know the name of the exact beach since we arrived via water, but I really want to say it was the north end of Malmok Beach. SO MUCH TO SEE THERE!

Next level of clean? Uhh nope. This makes me question EVERYTHING with their preparation for cleanliness. I took the bowl out and pour pancake batter in and this is what I see before starting. Just a bit grossed out. I never did a full load of dishes on check in day (I thought that was part of their change over), but it seems I have to from now on. Next level of gross. Def some suspect stuff in the new room in Orlando when I was at grand vista and now this? Not happy with the Marriott and their next level of clean. Guess it’s not the best of the best. While I’d normally overlook this, it’s hard to this time when they are trying their hardest to calm fears and prove cleanliness.

Went to grab a “clean” towel..... what’s the the hair everywhere?! Is it from the cleaning personnel? Maybe they should wear hair nets

That bowl with the hair makes me want to throw up . I doubt housekeeping would run all the dishes if they are already in the cabinet. I always wash anything I take from the cabinet by hand before I use it. I don’t trust anyone else- prior guest or housekeeping. If you plan on using a lot of stuff I would run it all through the dishwasher.

Yeah I will do from now on. I usually rinse but this was a rush job and I saw it after the fact. Luckily I caught it in time

I would also Tweet these photos to @MarriottVacationClub. They are usually fast on responding to messages on Twitter.
