I just saw this post from Internet travel blogger One Mile at a Time:
onemileatatime.com
Here's the lead paragraph:
Marriott has just launched a 15% off sale for the purchase of gift cards. This promotion is targeted at those who have a US-issued Marriott Bonvoy credit card, and it’s also likely targeted beyond that. In order to take advantage of this offer, check your email, and look for a one-time redemption code. The email I received has the subject line “Ends April 18: Card Members Save 15% on eGiftCards.”
The hyperlink in that paragraph takes you to the gift card purchase website: https://wwws-usa2.givex.com/cws4.0/marriottprcom/e-gifts/
It's interesting that the gift card purchase page doesn't seem to request the one-time redemption code that One Mile at a Time refers to. Perhaps it would be needed if you proceeded beyond this page by adding something to your shopping cart?
I haven't received an email from Marriott, but perhaps others on TUG may have.
I have never paid Marriott timeshare maintenance fees with a Marriott gift card. Is that possible, or not?

Good Deal: Marriott Selling Gift Cards For 15% Off (Targeted)
Marriott Bonvoy is offering a 15% discount on gift card purchases, for select co-brand credit card members. Here are all the details.
