Hello, We have a sales presentation Oceana Palms soon, and I have a question about the Encore packages…if we are offered one, do we have to use it at the timeshare we are currently doing the presentation at, or can we choose a package for a different timeshare? And how long do you have to book the Encore package?
Thanks so much!

Usually you can do it at the location of your choosing. They will confirm or deny your request.

I think you can book it up to a year in advance.

The expiration date for the Encore Package 18 months from the date purchased....you can return to the resort you purchased at...or they have an addendum where they give you choices to many MVC properties....prices vary.....depending on where and what time of year you would like to go....reservations can be made as early as 10 months in advance...Availability is not guarenteed for the date or resort you choose...you must attend a sales presentation and will be entitled to either Abound Points....Bonvoy Points....or a Gift card.....Your Choice.

What is a good price for and encore at one of the Marriott Hawaii properties?

Big Island has a 1 BR Suite for 10 payments of Aprox. $99 a month and a $300 Surcharge added because all months in Hawaii are considered tier 2 travel.....Kauai.....Maui and Oahu have only studios available for that same price.....again subject to availability.....5 days and 4 nights.

As noted above, Encore packages are usually less than a week (typically 4 nights.) There is no set package, they vary in all respects (location, price, length, unit size.) Make sure they show you all details (the booking grid, etc), and everything they have told you is in writing. They often cover part of the brochure with full costs to alternative locations.

Usually they will start out showing you the site specific Encore Package. If you ask about other resorts they will pull out one that is able to go to other properties. I have noticed that it is more expensive and the incentives are also cut in half.
