Nobody is that naive, come on!

  • "A search of publicly available material suggests several of Surgisphere’s employees have little or no data or scientific background. An employee listed as a science editor appears to be a science fiction author and fantasy artist whose professional profile suggests writing is her fulltime job. Another employee listed as a marketing executive is an adult model and events hostess, who also acts in videos for organisations.
  • The company’s LinkedIn page has fewer than 100 followers and last week listed just six employees. This was changed to three employees as of Wednesday.
  • While Surgisphere claims to run one of the largest and fastest hospital databases in the world, it has almost no online presence. Its Twitter handle has fewer than 170 followers, with no posts between October 2017 and March 2020."

I am that naive. When I read unconfirmed I actually think it is unconfirmed. I follow the National Academy so read their retraction. Something you did not post.

Where is there evidence of fabrication....none....zilch.....nada There are questions and the paper was rightfully pulled. And I will ask for the 4th time. Why did the FDA pull the emergency use? Where is your evidence that it works. Where is the evidence that this was some big conspiracy to sabotage medical research and want a drug to fail? As a retired biochemist those charges are very serious and should we dare say unconfirmed.

Post it please. Whose retraction? Did you expect the Lancet magazine to say explicitly that it was bogus? The University of Utah has terminated one of the authors, further indication it was bogus.

You probably did not read this part either:

"Among other consequences of the paper, the World Health Organization paused enrollment of part of a clinical trial meant to test the drug."

If you cannot put two and two together, I am sorry.

why did the fda pull the emergency use.

“Emergency use” doesn’t apply to approved drugs, under drug law. It didn’t mean anything before, it means nothing after. Perhaps using this term gave some doctors a warm fuzzy feeling to prescribe it? Who knows...

Why? The facts are: Choloroquine is an approved drug with a known safety profile. All doctors can prescribe off-label. It is done everyday, everywhere in the US For many, many drugs.

“Emergency use“ is a REAL regulatory FDA allowance for clinical drugs, such as Remdesivir. Clinical drugs have strict protocols which dictate inclusions and exclusions. In order for this drug to be given to patients with COViD, FDA gave permission for “emergency use“. It is still not an approved drug, not for any indication.

Hope this provides some clarity. The govt officials and newsmedia do not use the correct terms because they do not know that there is a difference between the drug clinical (investigational) study process and the drug approval process. Lots of people putting words out there for things they do not understand, copying what someone else said....

Well, at least this last posting was “fair”. Let’s see if all the previous articles are retracted or if they double down.

It’s good to have options against this disease.
