What is a Loyalty Search Request?
Loyalty Search Requests allow HGV Max Members in the Preferred through Centum+ tiers to set up an automated availability search for a resort, region date, or number of nights and accommodations when the specific booking window opens. You can set up a search request online or with a Club Counselor and will be notified by email when there’s a match. Once a match occurs, you will have seven days to accept and confirm the reservation, or it will expire.
How many Loyalty Search Requests do I receive each year?
As a Member with HGV Max benefits, you will receive an annual allotment of active search requests based on your membership tier:
- HGV Max Members in the Preferred tier receive one active search per year.
- HGV Max Members in the Preferred+ tier receive one active search per year.
- HGV Max Members in the Premier tier receive three active searches per year.
- HGV Max Members in the Premier+ tier receive five active searches per year.
- HGV Max Members in the Centum+ tier receive seven active searches per year.
You can have up to a specific number of searches in the system at any time based on your tier status. If you use all your active searches, you cannot place an additional search request until one of your existing search requests has been fulfilled or expires.
How far in advance can I set up a Loyalty Search Request?
Loyalty Search Requests can be set up a minimum of 21 days before your planned arrival date, with the maximum number of days and length of stay dependent on your membership program or HGV Max booking window.
How do I use my Loyalty Search Requests?
Using your Loyalty Search Requests is simple! Loyalty Search Requests can be used online or by speaking with a Club Counselor. While logged in to your Member account, select your desired location from the
Destinations drop-down menu, which will populate a list of properties located in the area chosen. After finding a resort you wish to submit a Loyalty Search Request for, select
Submit Search Request underneath the property name. A search request screen will then populate, where you can select your desired check-in and check-out dates, number of guests and room type accommodations. Once all details are added to the Loyalty Search Request, select
Apply to submit your request.
Once a match is found under your desired accommodations and dates, you will be sent an email to
Accept or
Reject your pending reservation. After accepting your reservation, you can review the reservation details by selecting
My Reservations under the drop-down menu found when hovering over your account name in the top-right corner.
How will I be notified if my Loyalty Search Request finds a match?
After placing a Loyalty Search Request, you will be notified if a match to your desired preferences occurs via email, which will be sent to the email account associated with your Club account. Once a match occurs, you will have seven days to accept and confirm the reservation or it will expire.
If you do not see an email notifying you of a match, please be sure to check any spam and/or junk folders for the communication. The email will come from
hgv@transactions.hiltongrandvacations.com with the following subject line: “Your Loyalty Search Request.”
Can I use Loyalty Search Requests for Open Season reservations?
No. Loyalty Search Requests can only be used for reservations using ClubPoints and Saved Points. Open Season reservations can only be used for cash-rate stays.
Are there any restrictions for using the Loyalty Search Request?
Yes. Reservations through Loyalty Search Requests can only be made by using ClubPoints and Saved Points; no other type of points are accepted. Additionally, Loyalty Search Requests can be set for a minimum of 21 days before the desired arrival date, with the maximum number of days and length of stay depending on your membership program or HGV Max booking window.
I have Bonus Points available to use. Can I apply these points to a Loyalty Search Request reservation?
No. Reservations using Loyalty Search Requests can only be made using ClubPoints and Saved Points; no other type of points are accepted.
I would like to use a Loyalty Search Request for a reservation in the following calendar year. Will my current-year points or next year’s points allotment be used for the reservation?
When using a Loyalty Search Request to book a reservation in the following calendar year, the reservation will be deducted from the following calendar year’s point allotment. If you would like to use your current-year points toward a reservation in the following calendar year, you can do so by first saving your current-year points, which is based on your membership program’s rules.
For example, if you make a 2025 reservation using your Loyalty Search Request in 2024, the point allotment needed to book a reservation at the specified property will be deducted from your 2025 Club Points allotment. If you would like to use your 2024 Club Points to book a Loyalty Search Request reservation in 2025, you will first need to save your 2024 Club Points into the following year.
I placed a Loyalty Search Request for a specific destination but changed my mind. How do I cancel the active search request?
To cancel an active Loyalty Search Request, please call Member Services to speak with a Club Counselor at

I’m a dual Owner under multiple Club membership programs. Can I combine my points for use toward a Loyalty Search Request?
No. An automated Loyalty Search Request will not combine your points allotment associated with your ownership under multiple Club membership programs. To fulfill a Loyalty Search Request, you must have enough points in the account you wish to make an automated search with.
