Looking for information on a possible Branson, MO timeshare

I'm betting that 769 available units is actually more like, available check in nights for each type of unit available. Cuz see resorts down there allow any night check in

I believe "769 available units" means there are 769 available units.

It's the same today. The search is for EVs and LCs.

Since its been brought up, there are 69 at Big Cedar.

Also, I believe most Branson resorts still have traditional check-in . . . Fri, Sat, Sun . . . and are 7-day . . . rather than "every-night" hotel-style check-in. I'd bet $1 on it.

I don't like to say this, but you're wrong. Spinnaker, which has 4 resorts in Branson (palace view, palace view south, palace view heights, and French Quarter) all have every night check in options as does Welk. French Quarter alone has 609 of the 1320 "available units" at the top of my search for exchanges on the Welk Curated 1,000 list. But if you look at the French Quarter, above available units it says, 609 check-in nights available. Next is Lakewood Resort at Osage Beach which has 348 check-in nights available. The next highest by check in date are in the 50 and 60 check-in night range and have booking options through December of 2020.
I am showing 87 different check-in nights for Big Cedar through Dec of 2020 with three different unit types.
I'm not arguing that Branson isn't over built, cuz it certainly is. It's dead as a doorknob in the early winter and spring (except holidays). Just arguing that this is another area where timesharing/exchanging can be confusing. Cuz the term "available units" is at the top of the page, but the numbers that make up that total are listed as "check-in nights available".... get your $h!t together RCI lol.
Sorry, I've had a rough couple days and let a little aggravation get out on that post. See you on the lakes OldGuy :D

Branson is very traditional in every way. Some places might have progressed, but not Branson.

Pretty easy thing to answer. Open each Branson resort and see what days their check-ins are.

I do RCI. I've got some spare time.

The ones you mentioned:

Palace View: Sat Only
French Quarter: 99.999999% Sat, I only saw one Fri
Big Cedar: 100% Fri (kinda surprised at that)
The one with the most units available (1641), Holiday Hills: Fri, Sat, Sun only
Suites at Fall Creek (700 Units Available): Fri and Sat only

Just to cut to the chase, I looked at all 30 Branson RCI resorts with availability, and . . . none of them have "every day" check-in. The only check-in days are Fri, Sat & Sun. The majority have just one check-in day, and the majority of those are Sat, with Fri a distant second.

It looks like Lakewood is Sat only.

What were we talking about?

I went to exchange, not extras or last call on RCI. And when I click available units, the ones I listed will let me check in on any day of the week.
The darkened squares are available check in days for French Quarter just now for exchange.

Well, Jeffery, you picked something I can't see. I looked at the 30 resorts I can. I looked at "everything" available, opened them all up, and looked at all the check-in dates, for all 30 resorts.

When I open French Quarter, it does not say anything about Welk. I'm guessing the difference is that I'm looking in Weeks, and you're not.

Another way to see what check-in days there are is to look at the resort's "home page" on RCI. Here's what it says for French Quarter:

French Quarter (#5824)
GC-ColorLgIcon.png

Front Desk:

    • Front-Desk Onsite
    • Front desk hours of operation : 8:00am - 10:00pm
      Check-in and Check-out:

    • Check In Time: 16:00
    • Check Out Time: 10:00
    • Weeks Resort check in days: Friday , Saturday

Interesting.... RCI have Welk it's open portal. So maybe because Welk allows any day check in, some resorts let us check in any day? I have no idea lol

It would be interesting if you would open the (30) resorts that I see with availability in Weeks, and see what their check-in days are in Points.

A resort has to have a hotel-style front desk in order to have every-day check-ins, regardless of whether it's Weeks or Points. If there's no one at the front desk doing check-in/check-out, and no housekeeping on duty every day, they can't have every-day check-in.

I believe the majority of TS resorts, everywhere, are still traditional, with one-three check-in days. In the 160-plus exchanges/EVs/LCs, whatevers, I have done, anywhere, it has never been to a resort with every-day checkins. But, if a person has always gone to a resort that has every-day checkins, I can see how they might think all/most of them do.

But, what I think doesn't matter.

I found an answer . . . when I looked at Welk (Timber Ridge) in the RCI Resort Directory, it says
  • Weeks Resort check in days: Sunday , Friday , Saturday

  • Points Resort check in days: Sunday , Monday , Tuesday , Wednesday , Thursday , Friday , Saturday
I could not find any other Branson resort that says that, including places like Stillwaters, which is a non-timeshare resort with daily check-ins, and a very small ts portion. The TS portion is just Sat checkin.

Interesting. Good info Oldguy
