Just got off a Koala sales call - Thoughts on their Gold & Platinum VIP tiers!

@VacationForever mentioned "MVC does not allow rentals booked with points."
@dioxide45 or vacationForever please explain this further. Not sure I understand the underlying context of this rule?
This is from the Abound Exchange Procedures. Don't be confused about Priority 1 Reservations or Priority 1 Period. This is just the booking windows and that verbiage exists on them all.

Marriott could decide at any time to stop guests, just like Wyndham did. I still consider Marriott to be above that, but if Marriott feels that owner rentals are hurting their own pocketbook, they sure could crack down on owners. They haven't yet, not that I know of. And of course there will be lots of people cheering Marriott on, just like Wyndham owners cheered.
 
In essence what this rule states at face value for example is "You are not permitted by virtue of the language in this rule to take 2000 points and take any sort of compensation from me to make a reservation on my behalf at xyz resort?".

However I can rent points from another member and make a reservation for whatever I deem fit?
