It seems I have been deMaxed

Free for HGV but $81 for HGVC.
Free for HVC and the other Max non-HGVC properties? You own in HGVC, right? If so, it is odd that you get charged on this side but not the other. Will be interesting to hear what CS says.

Next I want to request free HGVC bookings that comes with Max. Anyone used online chat to solve anything or do I have to call?
I would think chatting or calling CS to try to get a benefit that you didn’t pay for would more likely result in another Max removal than the free reservations being instated. But you can be the trailblazer here for this situation and let us know how it goes.

I haven't followed the whole thread, but if it is true that the poster has gotten the Max benefit undeserved, I'd certainly not be calling to try and milk it for undeserved benefits. I'd use them if they showed up, but not call to complain if I didn't get something I didn't pay for. But that's me.

Cheers.

I’m indifferent if they simply get AI fees set up right or use Max as a workaround. The bottom line is they need to fix their own mess. I bought District for free bookings so no reason not to ask for it.

Ok, if you requested AI, then you should get that. A similar thing happened to me, where I requested AI, got free half Max where the legacy resorts were still charging reservation fees. When I called CS, they first said “you have max so they should be free”, then saw I should not be Max, and was able to remove me from max and pay the difference for the AI dues. That finally stuck (was able to have $0 reservations), and then Max came back later, removed, then it has been back since. But I pay the AI dues amount.

Yes. If you pay the AI fee on your District MFs, then by all means ask for that since you have actually paid for it. Nothing to do with Max (earned or not) though.

Cheers.

My resale W57th Maxed me, but I expect it to drop off when they figure that out.

My Max fell off, as did my Elite. Finally got the right person to put the AI Membership Dues on the account, only took 2+ months.

I can live without the Elite now that I have the inclusive variety of club dues.

ok, really liking AI club membership, already made 5 ressies. Holding 2 for NYC. Which i can now do, without throwing away $71 (elite pricing).

Which is better: stay at W57th for 2 days, pay $85 fee for short stay, and have lounge access OR stay at central @ 5th, no $85 fee but also no lounge access. I might have picked Quinn PHs but there is currently no availability. I have a quick trip to NYC to see something at Radio City Music Hall.

For our family of 3, we’d pretty much get the $85+tax back eating breakfast and evening snacks for 2 nights. A good place to also use your surpass $50 credit if you need to spend it.

It is only me, and by the time I get in evening snacks will be over. So 1 evening snacks and 2 breakfast for 1 person, is that $85 worth @Reddart

as described in your case i'd choose Central because I'd walk to Liberty bagels and get a $15 bagel with lox and schmear and at night I could definitely find a happy hour drink and good slice of pizza for less than $50. With 2 or more the lounge always wins for us but we've never stayed fewer than 3 nights either.

Unless you’re a big eater for breakfast W57th is probably slightly more expensive given everything else you’ve written.

To me the bigger issues are which location is more convenient and which unit can you get in W57 vs The Central.

We find the basic unit at W57 fine if we have to but the basic one at the Quin too claustrophobic. Never stayed at The Central so don’t know what the rooms are like there.

Both are available for my dates. I have stayed at W57th, but The Central, which I have not stayed at, is slightly closer to where I have to be. I am only in NYC for 2 nights for a specific event.

I might just try The Central and avoid the $85 fee. I will stay at W57th next time I am in town for a longer period.
