Married for almost 49 years and I still have my wedding dress. My mother was an excellent seamstress and made it for me. Someone turned our invitation into a varnished wall plaque, so that's still around too. The wedding gift I use everyday: the harvest gold clothes hamper that sets in my closet.

It will be fifty years in August. I have nothing, threw out most when we moved out of our house after retirement.
i converted some old movies this fall and one reel was our wedding. and found some old slides. It was really wonderful to see that movie with all my relatives who have since passed away.
true story, my friend took a roll of photos, my mother in law said let me get them developed and kept them for herself. Apparently she tossed them out as they were not among the boxes of photos in her house when she passed away.

Interesting thread. I never thought there were so many newlyweds on TUG. It'll be 53 in September for us. I suppose we've got some stuff packed away in the attic garage but the only thing we use is a piece of furniture given to us by my dads golf partner who was a CEO of a large furniture company at the time. Three kids, eight grandkids and the first great grandchild due in a month it's been a hellava ride. So far I'm enjoying it.

Will be 50 yrs for us in a few weeks. We were both 20 and had only known each other 3 months. All I know for sure is we still have each other, anything other than that is irrelevant.

I was 20, he was 21 and we had also only known each other for three months. One month in the same town, the second in the same state but 4 hours apart and the third in different states!

38 years for us November 2020.

Have wedding dress, photo album, and lot's of other gifts . Fine china, set of crystal glasses, wedding favor, etc. etc. I still have a few others that are still up in the attic

About 7 years ago, I was having a discussion with my nephew's wife not long after her wedding. We were talking about marriage licenses. I realized that I did not have one. I went searching but knew I had never seen an actual license in the 31 years we were married. I had never received one. I did have the paper the church gave us - signed by the priest, witnesses. I thought that was it. I finally went on-line and received ours (with proper date :D).

We just celebrated 40 years on April 20th. I still have some match books with our names/date on it, a swizzle stick and the imprinted glass we gave as a favor. Remember the candied almonds wrapped in netting that used to sit in favors? My cake topper is in my china cabinet.

52 years for us in late May. We were on a tight budget as we just graduated college and were moving to Kansas for our jobs. My dad had given me a budget and said that what we did not spend, he would give us in cash. So, I made my dress, friends took photos and made a cake. I think I spent a total of $100 including flowers and fabric for the dress. We used the rest of the money for the move and getting settled. I still have the guest book, a few photos. I had a cake knife with our names on it but now D-I-L has it as when they got married in 1994, I had their names engraved on the knife too.

I still use a Sunbeam electric skillet that we was given as a wedding gift and use our silverware and dishes every day.

Same here the the state of Florida made me show my license to renew my drivers license as name was different from birth certificate. I sent away for it some forty years after our wedding and was very relieved to receive it

I made my dress too, no photographer and a simple cake. I use the flatwear and mikasa dish set every day too and it is pretty much intact after fifty years.

Once owned these: FirstFairway@Walden X 2; Lawai Beach; ManhattanClub; PuebloBonitoRose; 4 South Africa--now timeshare-free
We celebrated our 43rd anniversary in January. We, too, had known each other a short time having met in August on Friday the 13th on a blind date. We married January the 15th in a military wedding at the Corpus Christi, Texas, Naval Air Station. I borrowed my dress from a friend so I don't have it. We have pictures & a framed invitation, and we still use the china and crystal on special occasions.

Jordan almond favor netting was something I tossed yesterday. Several months ago my old recipe box gave up the ghost, so I decided to get my "wedding box" out of the office cupboard where it had been holding 3x5 cards for at least 30 years. Stack of cards with who gave us what was also in the stuff I threw away Wednesday.

Been 47 wonderful years. At 45 years we did a gathering of friends at a windfarm venue we purchased at a library auction. We were able to find wedding dress which my wife made, my coat and tie which she also made, and big surprise was everything still fit the both of us. We didn't wear them to the venue but had them on display along with wedding photo and current photo that showed they still fit.

Been married 52 years and the best move I ever made. Still have my original wedding band, but it hasn't fit in about 20 years, so I had to get a new one. Still have all my wedding album, along with my silver, china and crystal and I can't part with any of it, Reminds me of a different time. We have a large family, now at 19, and they all live close, so I need a lot of dishes, silverware etc. We have not downsized, so plenty of storage space.

We will celebrate 50 wonderful years in February. He was in the Army when we married, and was in uniform, still have that and the gown that I made. Have lots of pictures, and even a few invitations and Thank You cards up in the attic. Our glasses and cake knife are up there also. I saved our cake topper and our Daughter used it at her wedding.

We just celebrated 47 years on 3/23. Love that man more than ever. No souvenirs that I can think of. But we didn't have a big wedding, just a few people. We were very young, and a lot of people didn't approve of two 18-year-olds getting married.

We have just celebrated our 20 year anniversary, and finally broke out the nice silverware from our wedding registry. My only regret is if we had started using it earlier, we may have been able to get some extras - there are times that I really wish we had a few extra place-settings, but not enough to pay today’s replacement costs. I’m sure we have way to many wedding “souvenirs” because there is a big Rubbermaid container on our basement shelves labeled wedding. I have no idea exactly what is in there.

It will be 50 years in August. We had to postpone the Alaska cruise we had planned until our 51st. We still have DW's wedding dress and my mom's wedding dress, from 1941. When our teenage granddaughters were over early in March, they had fun trying on the dresses. We still use the spaghetti pot and a pitcher we received as gifts. We hardly ever use the good china.

Wishing you a Happy Anniversary.:whooopie::whooopie::whooopie::whooopie::whooopie:

We had planned a transatlantic cruise for next year, to Rome. But the new health restrictions by some cruise lines have placed that on hold.
