I saw a post on the Hyatt residence club Facebook group stating that the High Sierra private beach will be closed from 4/2023 until 4/2025 due to Hyatt (not HRC) renovations. Any truth to that? https://www.facebook.com/groups/48131613756/permalink/10159515323893757/
I am going to reach out the HHS Board next week on this. Nothing we can do about this, but I want to understand where this is headed. It doesn't look good to me. Ellison will plow hundreds of millions additional into the property over the next few years and, if we get any access to the beach / hotel once it is completed, it will very likely be at a high cost. Sucks for sure.

I called the resort last night just before booking my usual August stay, and they confirmed the news. To us, the best thing about that resort is the Hyatt beach. Alternatives include going to the other Incline beaches (but only enough passes for a total of 10 entrances) or other beaches along the lake. We will not be going for the next two years, sadly.
