HGVC Whistler

When logging in to HGVC with my membership I've noticed some resorts that are shown on the website cannot be booked. Will I ever be able to book HGVC Whistler?

Whistler is an Embarc property, none of which are bookable with HGVC points right now

That was a club intrawest (renamed Embarc) that was part of the Diamond merger. They are going to be branded HGVC but no decision on if or how they will be folded into HGVC point resorts.

HGVC Whistler is in Embarc property that came over as part of the Diamond acquisition. Though Diamond owned Embarc (rebranded from Club IntraWest) the Embarc owners voted to keep their resorts entirely separate and Diamond owners could never book there. Corporate rebranded the Embarc resorts as HGVC (vs HVC for the other Diamond resorts) but we do not have access to book there. There is currently no timetable as to when will have access.

Hopefully this will get rebranded to HGVC as we stayed there many years ago and enjoyed the resort.

Several are already rebranded but the only way to access will be to buy into HGV Max - which is not yet available for Embarc members (they have to exchange out before anyone exchanges in).

Yes, my cousin owns at Whistler, from Club Intrawest days. I'll be joining them in May for 5 nights. Whistler has already been rebranded and the exterior signs now say HGVC Whistler. As everyone has noted, I couldn't book using the HGVC website, but there was nightly paid accommodation available on the Hilton Hotels website.

This is a property that I really want to get during the holidays. Been to Whistler several times and love it, but bummed that it's not even available (and may not be). In a perfect world, what would be the most cost effective way for me to gain access to this property? Buy DRI resale?

DRI members had no access to any Embarc properties. The only way to get access with points would be to purchase Embarc points resale.

You can book via Hilton.com but they have a disclaimer. Due to a flooding incident affecting a number of units, the property is not accepting new reservations through June 15, 2023. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
