In case anyone is interested, I have an "escalated ticket" into IT support. Apparently whenever they try to add another deed to my account, it automatically puts me into max and removes my status. Since I'm not an actual max member, I can't book anything online without paying a fee, nor can I roll over/convert my points for free. Whenever customer support switches my account back to HGVC, as soon as they mark me elite premier, it triggers an immediate change into showing me as max. I've had two zoom calls on it already. SMH.
