The legacy elite owner group will continue to get smaller and the Max group will continue to get larger. Their focus will be to strengthen the Max program and, it would not surprise me, if they start reducing elite benefits. We are Elite Premier and hope they don't but it would not surprise me if they do.
Right now, I see a decrease in benefits in a move from Legacy HGVG Elite Premier to HGV Max. I will evaluate the future HGV Max elite benefits when they are implemented because I don't buy on TS promises.

I actually don't understand what is taking HGV so long to implement many of these promises. But maybe now I understand after HGV IT tried to implement some upgrades to the website.

Yes, that is what I was asking. Sound liked they want you money without giving you service.
The website is working like it was before.

So can you pay your maintenance fees for 2024?
yes. You can log into the HGV website and pay all or a portion of it now. If you own in Scotland, you can call and pay early. The bills have not come out yet though.

i can get to the main page where it says the website has been fully restored. i still cannot log in. I get either a blank page or a 'parse error' or a '{"Message":"The requested resource does not support http method 'GET'."},

Yeah, we get the point :)

By the way, I'm also seeing issues posting here, which may be why you had multiples. I just hit refresh and it seemed to have posted, so I didn't try again.

I just tried and can log in normally.

Cheers.

Now I was able to log in from my iPad (not my iMac or my iPhone) and can search. This is what I get for Elara. It doesn’t show any of the higher room types and the availability pattern to me is suspect: zero availability any room through Thursday night, then wide open availabiliy beginning Friday night?

This may be you as I'm having no issues. Have you tried the standard cookies/browser steps?

Cheers.

On my iMac when I click on “Sign in” and click on “HGVClub and Owners” from the drop down menu, I am taken to a new window and “Safari Can’t Open the Page blah blah blah “cannot parse response”. In other words I cannot even get to a log in page.

This is after clearing history/cookies.

Welp, I am back to being a max member for some reason. I called yesterday to try to get my elite privileges back and they said it would be updated overnight. The result - my max access (which I never had and don't want) was restored. I have exactly one guest certificate in my account.

I have exactly one guest certificate in my account.
If I go to convert points, it's $154! That's ridiculous.

Sigh.... I'll call again today.

We have a lot of points - I go bargain shopping starting in September/October for people who don't want to pay next year's maintenance. Current allotment is 123,980 HGVC points + 37,920 BHC/AHC points. Moving from Elite Premier to "Max member" does have real costs in terms of point stretching options and the ability to add guest certificates. For example, family members who are traveling for the holidays will need guest certs, and that will be $400 out of pocket if I stay max.

I also find historically that this is the best time to find those bargain basement prices. I again suggest that you do what is right for you. I actually don't know the max rules well enough. There is also a possibility that you will get Max Elite (or whatever the correct name is) benefits.
