Help ! Buying with Arcadia Resort, not timeshare

Arcadia resort offered below
RCI Last Call Deals to be booked within 45 days of travel - unto 6 weeks for $199-399
RCI membership - Platinum
PREMIER WEEKS any where in World - 6 weeks

OneTime Cost - $6k
Annual Membership - $250

Is it worth buying ?
 
You can pick up an RCI resort for a $1 in many places and pay for Platinum membership and get the same thing.

Thank You so much. Would you be able to suggest what would be a good deal as I am planning for 2-3 weeks of vacation worldwide in 2-3 BR accommodation.
 
RCI Last Calls are leftovers. Think off season beach resorts in winter, ski resorts in mud season, or views of parking lots or dumpsters. Few if any 2-3 bedroom units. Rarely internationally. Don't be fooled.

The thing is 2-3 weeks of vacation in the 2-3 BR accommodations through RCI would only be the left over type ones that no one wants. So if you want Orlando, Branson, and Williamsburg most of the year and can wait until the left overs make it to 45 days which will happen often enough, or you want to travel to a Maine Beach in January-March or late November, or maybe Myrtle beach 1 mile from the ocean in October, those are the kind of deals that are usually available. If you search constantly you might luck into something that someone cancelled before anyone else grabs it.

And those premier weeks might cost your $2000 but you could book them elsewhere for $1500.-$3000 for the week so sometimes they could save you, but other times not so much.

That would be the holy grail that millions of people are looking for. Not saying that it's not possible, but you won't find it for $6,000. Maybe for $6,000 a year in maintenance fees, and a good amount of luck. Try VRBO or AirBnB.
 
Take your time
There is no hurry
Before you dip your toe in the water ask yourself what your exit plan is-timeshares are easy to buy and often hard to sell

The best resort would be one you might actually go to, but for points you probably want 100K or so. It depends on where you want to go and what season. If you always want to go in high seasons, then you probably need 200K points. Many of the Florida resorts will give you around 100K for an annual plan and can be had for a $1 or so. I recently got one that provides around 36K points per year for nothing.
 
It sounds like this is the case of some sales weasel misleading a potential victim as to what standard of accommodation would be available in RCI last minute inventory. $6,500 later, the buyer would figure out that their membership is pretty useless unless they want Worldmark Indio in July or something along those lines.
 
What exactly is Arcadia Resorts? Usually these scams are a worthless deeded property at an RCI resort with 50,000 or less RCI points and a high maintenance fee. I can’t seem to find anything about them.

It sounds like a vacation club with no rci points and just access to extra vacations and last call for a $6000 buy in and $250 a year membership.

Yes. They don’t call themselves timeshare. No points. Just last calls for $199-$299 & 6 premium weeks for $399

What did they say the premier weeks were? Are those booked through rci and are you sure they didn't say from $399 because rci has extra vacations and some are quite nice but they are in the $1000-$2000+ range. The $399 type weeks are the same left over stuff as the last calls but just further out than 45 days.

6 for $399 has no time blackout or last minute only. That can be booked a year in advance. That’s what they said.

but is that in writing? That premier weeks will never be more than $399. RCI has $399 non last minute weeks but the $399 weeks are fairly crappy. Where and when are you looking to travel?
