Health supplement tips.

http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/cayenne.htm

Above is another cayenne pepper link. Below is my favorite cayenne pepper beverage to relieve stress.

Cayenne pepper recipe.

5 ounces water
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 ounces V-8 Juice
1 shot of vodka, I like Grey Goose but any vodka works.

Stir 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in water and juice, add vodka and stir again.

Enjoy ;)

Just a note here for those of you who may not know.......... never, ever, ever give honey to a child under one year of age.

I know that EZ in not advocating this, but just want to warn others.

Good catch Beaglemom.
I was looking at the honey bottle and it does say " Do Not Microwave Bottle" and " Do Not Feed to Infants Under 1 Year Old".

I only buy honey from the USA. Im not sure whats in the Chineese honey.

Now that marijuana will be legal in WA on Dec 6 2012 people suffering and looking for pot will not need a medicinal card. In other states where pot is legal for medicinal use you could get your card in WA.

BTW, The passage of legal pot in WA is about 25 years too late for me.

Off the subject - considering about 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, perhaps more attention will focus on this deadly disease, one day.

This is slowly coming to pass with "Movember" a move to bring awareness to men's health issues including Prostate and testicular cancer in the month of November. In a nutshell men agree to grow moustaches and raise money for awareness. They become Mo Bros. Women join to bring awareness and help fund raise as Mo Sistas. Proceeds are used to help men's health causes. Our office has a Movember team. This is our first year and it has been awakening and fun. The Mo Bros are sporting some nice and sad 'stahes and the Mo Sistas have taken the lead in fundraising for our team and the cause.

Proud to be a Mo Sista

You just reminded me of the divine Frida Kahlo. We may even have some Sista's with enough pride, courage and sense of fun to put away the wax and bleach for the month ;)

An interesting article about a few supplements that chemo and radiation patients might find interesting.

http://www.kalex.com/med/NaturalStrategiesToKillCancer.pdf

The flax seed oil and cottage cheese is not tasty , imo, but if you add honey it becomes not so bad. I did this for about 10 months and got use to the taste.

Algea and plankton supplements can boost the immune system and help with radiation treatments. I used marine phytoplankton in a supplement form for 8 months and had good results.

Interesting! My normal breakfast is oatmeal with ground flaxseed. I add blueberries and cottage cheese when its cooked. I find it quite tasty and who knew I was eating so healthy?

I do take a variety of supplements daily but lately have moved to more natural and whole foods. I think someone posted about using a lowfat margarine. We recently went back to real butter to avoid the chemicals and additives. No more artificial sweeteners for us either.

I thought I knew alot about food ingredients but have gone back to reading the labels. The LandoLakes cottage cheese has 20+ ingredients where the Daisy cottage cheese has 4. Guess which one I'm buying now!

WOW... Ok so I started taking a tablespoon of honey before I go to bed and my snoring problem is bearable to my wife. I don't know why but its the last 5 nights in a row.

Vitamin D study

“Taken together, our results show that vitamin D puts the brakes on cMYC function, suggesting that it may slow the progression of cells from premalignant to malignant states and keep their proliferation in check. We hope that our research will encourage people to maintain adequate vitamin D supplementation and will stimulate the development of large, well-controlled cancer chemoprevention trials to test the effects of adequate supplementation,” said Dr. White.

Snoring cure

While I was experimenting with bee honey it seems that by taking a tablespoon right before I go to bed I don't snore. :D:D This was an unintended discovery that works for me.

Sure beats wearing a CPAP machine or a mouthguard.
I may have to give this a try before I go have a sleep study done.

Parasites

In 2008 I think I developed symptoms of fatiugue that led to trying to figure out what happened. I wondered if this was just because I was getting older. I started putting on a little bit of weight and every year felt more tierd than the year before. I talked to doctor about this and was was given different tests. None of the tests showed anything.

After talking to a naturopath and then researching for way too long I finally did a parasite cleanse last week. Im on day 7 now and have noticed some changes in my body. I did manage to find and contain a tapeworm. I have also found parts of others. I called my doctor to let him know and he said to bring it in on my next appointment.

Other things that feel different is the pressure on my sides and abdomen have diminished. The pressure was a bloated feeling like tightness. My wife and other family members say I look like I lost weight. The naturopath thinks I have candida and its dying off with the other parasites.

With all of the negative things I read on the internet about the people that claim these cleanse are a waste of time and the doctors who were involved in establishing the protocols are wackadoodle, I waited all most 4 years to try a parasite cleanse. During this wait I was diagnosed as depressed because I wasn't doing many of the things I enjoy and I was tired much of the time.

link to candida http://www.candidamd.com/candida/symptoms.html
Candida is like a yeast like fungus.

Im using the Dr Clark protocol that includes daily increasing amounts of the following ingredients.
1. wormwood 365 mg incresed from 1 to 6 a day and level off a 6 per day before a meal
2. black walnut tinture incresed from 2 drops to 2 teaspoons in 7 days per day before a meal
3. cloves 500 mg increased from 3 per day to 9 per day three times a day after 7 days
4. arginine 500 mg 1 per morning increased to 3 per day with cloves
5. ornithine 500 mg 2 per day at night

Ok, I did two weeks of the cleans and I feel great. Even though I weigh the same I look thinner because the bloating is gone. I felt like kicking butts on Sat and found that after your 50 your likely to have a 17 year old kicking your butt. Oh well. Have to agree with Toby.

I think I mentioned that medical marijuana is legal in Washington and recreational use is now legal as well. So this is what prescription pot looks like.

Bill, is the cayenne pepper you use a specilty product or can one use the one sold in grocery stores?

Yup, store bought. I went to Safeway and bought the organic cayenne pepper. It leaves dregs at the bottom of the glass that might bother some, it doesn't bother me.
