It seems vitamins are not all they are cracked up to be. Food is a better way to ingest these vitamins and minerals. I am no expert on the subject but have had success disolving kidney stones with lemon juice, using cayane pepper tea for blood presure / colesterol, fish oil for heart and al k seltzer for headaches.

Any one using a supplement they want to share.

This is a link to natural suplements.

“The healing power of the body is in the blood. Cayenne purifies the blood.” , This is from the supplement page about cayane pepper.

The cayanne pepper tea is kind of spicy hot but not that bad. I cut mine with half a can of v-8 juice.

I didn't know this worked on cancer as I thought this was an AIDS treatment.

"It stands to reason, therefore, that altering your health outcome depends largely upon altering the composition of your blood. If you want to make someone really healthy for a short time, for example, you can give them blood from a healthy person. Research has already documented that when you take blood from people whose bodies prevent cancer and then inject that blood into people who are suffering from cancer, the anti-cancer benefits of the blood are immediately reflected in the cancer patient (through tumor shrinkage, for example). There is such a thing as anti-cancer blood. And if you eat an anti-cancer diet, you're making anti-cancer blood every single day."

In WA there are plenty of places to medicinal marajuana. Im sure it may not be as easy in other states so here is a medicinal marajuana forum that has alot of info.

Besides smoking and vaporizing a person could ingest it by eating or drinking products made for patients. There is now soft drinks and baked goods available. I don't know what they taste like.

Lava lamp got you bored tonight Easy?

No lava lamp here. I was just thinking about people over 50 and the problems finding medicinal marajuana. A friends sister is going through chemo and he wanted to find some legal marajuana. Its easy and legal in WA, Oregon and CA.

I haven't bought any since the 80's.

I was using flax seeds mainly for additional fiber, but then I read several articles on Chia seeds and decided to give them a try. I eat a lot of fruit and veggies so I probably don't need them but just thought I would try. I have a Vitamix and have a lot of smoothies. Hubby has ice cream and I mix up some fruit, almond milk and ice cubes and am happy. I just ate some vanilla wafers with peanut butter so I'm not a health nut.

Heath ---> Health?

Yes, I saw that but couldn't edit it. Also, after my laptop crashed the spell check went missing. :p Even so, I think you are smart enough to get the jist.

A saw palmetto supplement plus the benefits of being a newlywed cured my husband's BPH during our first year of marriage - he had had it for more than 10 years. He has not suffered from it since.

That's funny, Bill! Reminds me of the Wisconsin State Fair where they have deep fried butter. No, I didn't try it.

Btw, prostate has just one 'r'. Prostrate is laying down on your tummy. Prostate is the enlarged gland you were referring too. Long live Flomax.

Yes, once I clicked into it. But from the title I thought it might have something to do with heathpack and her mini pies LOL. :):)

Hopefully, the average males prostate is not enlarged. ;)

Off the subject - considering about 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, perhaps more attention will focus on this deadly disease, one day.

I'm not fond of pills and supplements and prefer to treat problems as they arise. I do however take 5000mg of Vitamin C each day for 1 or 2 days if I feel like I am getting a cold/flu. I haven't had a cold or flu for a long time. Adding cinnamon and nutmeg to cows milk allows me to drink it without getting blocked sinus.

I successfully used a mixture of aloe vera juice, turmeric and honey to control hot flushes.

My favourite ayurvedic practitioner moved away and I haven't found a replacement person yet so I'm experimenting with eating turmeric (for its anti-inflammatory properties) and some other spices to try and treat a small patch of eczema. Whilst I don't think I've got it right yet I've noticed that my eyes are much clearer.

I use ginger for nausea (sea sickness).

Peppermint oil (external use) for headaches.

This year I ate 1/2 teaspoon of local honey daily to see if it would lessen my hayfever during Spring. No hayfever so far, but the season hasn't ended yet.

Some foods eaten in excess cause problems for me so I prefer to eliminate them completely or reduce them to solve any medical issues.

Im going to try the honey next spring for hayfever. Last spring was pretty bad for pollen around here. Thanks Carolf
