Got one of those in Aruba and the zipper ripped after a day. Went back with the ripped one to see if I could get another and they said no.

And no luck with the scratch off either.

Yes, the scratcher revealed that we won 500 Bonvoy points. That’s why I said we were a “big winner” (tongue in cheek). These points will be deposited into our account within 4 weeks. We also received 500 Bonvoy points for our 2 night stay and an additional 1,000 Bonvoy points for stopping by the sales desk in the Custom House lobby within 24 hours of check-in. These additional 1,500 points should appear in our account within a few days.

The tote bags we received were a few years back. Got nothing but an earful about the Pelican Hill acquisition when we scratched off our "win nothing" ticket. Did not delve further into the Pelican Hill dets as my golf-playing son was not present. Years ago, he would have loved getting a discount to play there. Sigh.

Given the Bonvoy point requirements for Pelican Hill, we won't be staying there anytime soon. We checked as we needed a night between Grand Chateau and Newport Coast Villas. The Bonvoy points required were triple of where we ultimately stayed, the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa.

I have only received the scratch offs in Aruba and I'm a loser each time. No scratch off's from Ocean Pointe, Oceana Palms.

I miss those freezer tote bags as well!

When visiting the "concierge" after checkin, they are giving out a scratcher for a chance to win prizes for Marriott Vacation Club's 4th anniversary. So far all of ours have been losers. Have you won anything yet? If so, what was it?

This isn’t just a gimmick to get you to a sales presentation?
