Happy Aloha Friday

Yes, traffic can get extremely busy and this should be a little slower time for tourists.😀

Power came back on around 5am so it was out for 12 hours. Time to reset the clocks and recharge the generator. 🤙🏻
I guess on the other side of the island (poipu) it isn’t that busy. I don’t recall that much traffic. We’re usually in Hawaii the first week of sept every year. Partly because as @slip said it’s less peopley, the kids are in school and our anniversary is the week of Labor Day typically. I did learn we’re not flying on a Saturday on an holiday weekend again. We typically fly out on Sunday. Pono Kai only had a Saturday checkin day.

There's a few spots where the traffic funnels and slows down around Kapaa that causes the Kapaa crawl. We like Poipu also and we usually head down that way once or twice during a trip.

There are a few owners associations at the Pono Kai so it depends which one for checkin days. Pono Kai Owners Association has Wednesdays and Saturdays for checkin and Pacific Fantasy has Friday checkin for example.

Looks like you had some awesome weather. Hope you had a special Anniversary!!🌺🤙🏻

Whether was amazing as always. We had one morning of rain (it’s not Hawaii unless we get rained on haha), plus a few sprinkles here and there. We had a great anniversary thanks @slip .

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Now that we're in September, Fall is in the air, although summer temps are still here. But things should be cooling off soon.

This week's picture keeps us here on Molokai and out to the Molokai Wharf. Hawaii's longest Wharf. This boat is moored out by the Wharf on a beautiful day. The Wharf is a bustling place on Molokai with fishing, swimming and many people enjoying life everyday.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!🤙🏻🌺🌴😎

Aloha from Salem Oregon. The weather has been more Fall like in the 70's. Currently we are enjoying the Annual Salem Art Festival across the Street in Bush Park. It was moved from July to September for Cooler temperatures.

Aloha from LAX (on my way to the 9th island). Here's a pic from 2022. Blue Angels over Haiku Station/stairs (Stairway to Heaven).

Aloha from Breckenridge! On our way to Madison to see the Badgers battle Alabama tomorrow.
Ahhh, my old stomping grounds. They are going to have to play much better than they have been. Enjoy!!!!

Happy Aloha Friday. I can't believe how fast this month is passing by. My wife made the love art when she was in the 7th grade. It's always been a display item where ever we lived.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! September is rolling along. The weather has been great and we have been out enjoying it.

This week's picture takes us back to Oahu and to what used to be my daily commute home from work. I took this driving home while going down King Street. Never a shortage of rainbows.

Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!🤙🏻🌺🌴😎

Happy Aloha Friday!

Years ago, the Royal Kona Resort used to have two greeters in their lobby. Their names were George and Gracie.

Happy Aloha Friday! We are still in CA for another week, where we are having nice weather, but I know we still have some hot days ahead, before fall really arrives. We will be heading back to our home in Nevada next week, where we love to feed the quail:

Happy Aloha Friday.

One of my tires blew out on a steep trail. It was loud. I had no choice but to keep going and oddly it seemed like I had better traction with a flat. My grand daughter fixed the tire for us after I had changed it. She used my first aid kit. What a smarty pants. Anyways, I have five new tires and decided to pull the Jeep into the shop for new paint.

Happy Aloha Friday! We went to the 9th island last week for the UFC fights in the Sphere.

The graphics were amazing and fully enveloped you. Quite an amazing experience.

You can see the perspective in the last 2 pics...cage at the bottom is dwarfed by the background.
