I have a few similar shots.
Fall used to be my favorite. I always looked forward to it and we wondered if we would miss the Wisconsin colors changing. This is our sixth fall now and we're still fine without them. We'll have to see if that changes in the future.Happy Aloha Friday! I'm tired of the heat! Who's ready for Fall?![]()
Friends and family are telling me Fall is in the air in Wisconsin, especially at night.Happy Aloha Friday!
The weather this week has been too nice not to ride a bike. We rode down to the St. Paul Saints stadium and I tried a bite of Lucy's cake. It tasted like fiberglass.

To me 90 is when it's starting to get hot. We are lucky since it is cooler on the east side of the island where we love. It's generally 5 degree cooler here than in town, 85 today.Aloha from Salem Oregon. For only the 3rd (yesterday) and 4th (today) time in History Salem Oregon was/is over 90°F in September.
Even worse is that about 36 hours ago the Wind shifted to coming from the East and so the Willamette Valley is filling with smoke. The Sun is Orange.
In Northern San Diego county (about 15 miles inland from the ocean) we're experiencing a heat wave. At 9 pm the temp was 90 F and at the peak in the afternoon it reached 105 F. It is slightly uncomfortable in the shade with the breeze but is really hot in the direct heat of the sun.To me 90 is when it's starting to get hot. That smoke is terrible and it usually lingers. Time to stay inside.![]()

Only 137 days until we get to Poipu. We love watching the sunset from the Beach House, Spouting Horn, or just sitting on the rock wall near Poipu Beach Park with the rest of the sunset groupies.View attachment 98993View attachment 98993Happy aloha Friday from poipu!
We made reservations that night at 630 so we could see the sunset (652). Last time we were here we were just finishing dinner when it happened. We were like what is everyone doing. Haha. This time we planned for it.Only 137 days until we get to Poipu. We always enjoyed The Beachouse at sunset also. We are currently under a power outage on Molokai. A car hit a pole. It's been about two hours already. Glad we have our solar generator. We made reservations that night at 630 so we could see the sunset (652). Last time we were here we were just finishing dinner when it happened. We have! We were here 2 years ago. We will be back again at some point. We stayed at Pono Kai. Glad you have a generator so you’re not without power. We always enjoyed The Beachouse at sunset also. This is the first time for us. We are a little disappointed tho… They are remodeling right above our room and failed to tell us… we are in a remodeled room which is nice. Some of their stock photos had us dreading it a bit. Overall I think we’d stay here again. The bypass for Kapaa is closed right now for construction so it’s making traffic in town right now a bear.We always stay at Pono Kai, it's our favorite. We will be there in May.![]()
Yes, most of the units have been renovated COVID held up a couple of the buildings for renovation. We have owned there for close to 15 years now. This is the first time for us. This is the first time I’ve stayed on this side of the island. Traffic yesterday was almost to the round about coming into Kapaa yesterday. Hope your power is back @slip .Yes, most of the units have been renovated COVID held up a couple of the buildings for renovation. We have owned there for close to 15 years now.
We usually don't take the bypass. Since we have been there so many times, we can usually plan around the traffic.
Hope you can enjoy the rest of your stay.
We're still without power. We're getting a few people stopping by for supplies now. We have quite a few renters at the resort this week. This has been a long one. It's going on five hours now.
Yes, traffic can get extremely busy and this should be a little slower time for tourists. This is the first time I’ve stayed on this side of the island. Traffic yesterday was almost to the round about coming into Kapaa yesterday. Hope your power is back @slip .
