Happy Aloha Friday

Happy Aloha Friday!! March is humming right along and for most of the mainland there is a time change this weekend. So, we will be back to 4 hours behind Denver and 5 hours behind Wisconsin.

This week's picture takes us back to Kauai and the southeast side of the island to Kalapaki Beach. This is a nice spot to watch surfers catching a wave. There are some nice spots to grab a drink and something to eat too. It's the perfect spot to get on island time and relax and enjoy.

My friends in Wisconsin are posting pictures of the 8 inches of snow that they got. I never liked March weather there. We were at the pool most of the day yesterday.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! St. Patrick 's Day lands on Aloha Friday this year. We are headed to Hiro's today for brunch.

Today's photo takes us to the east side of Molokai and about 5 miles from home, to Waialua Beach. This beach has a dirt road access and a nice golden sand. It's a nice spot to fish, swim, Snorkel or just enjoy the beach for the day.

Happy Aloha Friday!! Only one more Aloha Friday and March is in the books. Spring is here and the ocean is getting calmer. The weather on the mainland is getting more spring like everyday.

Today's picture is from yesterday's tour with Molokai Ocean Tours. The whales are still here and they are a site to see. It's awesome to see them up close and personal. We already plan to go again next year. Tours go from Mid-December to Mid-April. So put this on your list if you plan to come to Molokai during this time.

We are still in the cooler weather pattern. It's been colder than usual here this year. Even so, I see weeds coming up.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! It's the last day of March and Spring has showed Winter the door. Summer is just around the corner.

This week's photo takes us back to Oahu and a Hawaii Original, Rainbow Drive-in. The Original Rainbow Drive-In has been in the same spot in Kapahulu since they opened in 1961. There are also 3 other locations on Oahu. The original location puts out over 1000 plates a day. It is still family owned and has been featured on many TV shows, such as Diners, Drive-in's and Dives, Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum PI. It's a Hawaii staple that serves great food, big portions at a great price. Eat like a local the next time you are on Oahu and stop at the Rainbow Drive-in.

The bird was one of many flying up and down the floors looking for any crumbs that might be on the lanais. If you leave your door open, they'll even come into the room.

That sounds like a fun tradition! It's always nice to have something to look forward to at the end of the work week, and celebrating Aloha Friday by wearing an Aloha shirt seems like a great way to do that. It's great that you've continued this tradition even after moving to Hawaii, and it's cool that you've started posting pictures and memes on Facebook. It's always nice to connect with family and friends through shared interests or traditions. And adding your own personal touch by taking pictures and adding the Happy Aloha Friday logo sounds like a fun way to make it even more special. Keep up the good work!
